ASA Tournament 2010 ASA National Qualifying Tournaments for ALL age groups

Today was the date that the 2010 bids were awarded to tournament directors or cities that bid on these events. Finally.... OHIO ASA is starting to figure out that teams need to be able to know far enough in advance when and where the ASA qualifying tournaments are going to be held!!!! Hope this kind of helps out! Please check the OHIO ASA Web Site for an official publication of this information.



The dates are set in stone and the following tournaments will be played June 11,12,13, 2010 in the following cities. You will be able to find out more when they post the information on the Ohio ASA website: www.ohioasasoftball.org
They will give you cost and tournament directors contact information.

10U & 12U ASA State Tournament = Fostoria = 4 berths for 2010

14U State Tournament = Elyria = 4 berths for 2010

16U State Tournament = Findlay = 4 berths for 2010

18U State Tournament = West Chester (near Cincy, Kings Island Area)= 4 berths for 2010





The dates are set in stone and the following tournaments will be played June 18,19,20, 2010 in the following cities. You will be able to find out more when they post the information on the Ohio ASA website: www.ohioasasoftball.org
They will give you cost and tournament directors contact information.

10U & 12U ASA Regional Qualifier = Maumee = 1 berth minimum for 2010

14U Regional Qualifier = North Ridgeville = 1 berth minimum for 2010

There will be NO Regional Qualifiers for the 16U or 18U.

10U / 12U / 14U National Qualifier = Canton = 1 berth minimum for 2010

16U National Qualifier = Shreeve = 1 berth minimum for 2010

18U National Qualifier = Massillon = 1 berth minimum for 2010

4 berths for states! Now they are talkin sense.

I thought we were combining region 9 qualifiers with Cinci and they were hosting the16u and 18u Region 9s in 2010.... Cinci was to be joining us I thought?

Are these for 2010 or 2009??? If they are for 2010....maybe someone could get the 2009 dates "set in stone" first.

Just a note.. the berths are set if the number of Ohio teams sanctioned do not decrease.... which we do not expect.

Have you check www.ohioasasoftball.org for 2009 dates? I believe the info has been on it for some time.

The ohio asa site still says the 14u state tournament will be june 5-7 in defiance,
yet the defiance site says it is june 12-14.

So who really knows.

The 2009 14U State tournament is June 12-14. The webmaster has not updated the Ohio ASA website yet.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention here in Defiance. The dates are June 12-14, 2009. The dates were set to June 5 really early on and changed due to some schools not being out yet. Should have been changed by now. Will check into it also. Thanks again and sorry for any confusion.

The top post says the 14u state is in Elyria. But other posts are indicating Defiance.

Wolfpack 99 is normally right on when it comes to this kind of data.

June 11 - 13 in Elyria for 14u state tournament.

Why is everything up north?
Outside of the one in West Chester, everything is a haul for those of us in Southwestern Ohio....
Also, I agree that it is too early. The OHSAA finals are held the weekend before, so not much time for 16s and 18s to get together and get on the same page (that is, for those who abide by the not allowing kids to practice during their high school season).

I can't find anything on the ASA webb site showing the dates, they only have 2009 tourneys. It would be nice to know for sure so we can set our schedule. Anyone have the exact info?

Doug,

You are becoming quite the vetearn travel coach...lol. We should know something by mid November. Hopefully we (as a state) can accuire as many berths as last year (8) in the 16U. There are multiple ways to qualify, you just have to keep pestering Warren Jones with phone calls and emails, and he will eventually get back with you.
