Well I don't know if Trotwood is getting better or some of the GWOC teams are playing with a little dignity, but it is nice from both perspectives to see a score like Butler's. Congrats to Butler coach for playing with a little class and congrats to Trotwood for keeping it close.

By the way: (5/4)

Trotwood is getting better. Kudos to the coach there. We didn't let up on them and they lit us up a couple times. Their offense has improved dramatically and their defense will improve with time and practice. I think those girls will get a taste of success this year and it will be contagious!

I am looking forward to WC VS Miamisburg tonight. Is there any other rivalry games tonight?

It'll be interesting to see how many 'hits' the Firebirds got to score that one run.;&

Sam, as a parent i will say would have to be none, if i was taking book for the birds. We had a few errors and they took advantage of the one in the 6th and there ya have it. As far as the games, tough!! both nights.. All girls played hard, jessie walk had (10 k) elizabeth vansant had (9). Both pitchers did their jobs. The first game we played, jenny sharpe led the birds to the win, hands down. The second game, jessie walk pitched a great game, as far as the stats,, is what is. Good luck to the birds, as well to the bolts..Tough games ahead!!

yeah....don't put too much emphasis on stats....selections and awards are what the coaches want not what the girls do,...... everyone except Funky knew what Lizzy could do...she is a tough competitor on the mound and in the field......we really miss playing with her...great kid! GWOC parity was great as predicted.....way too many high level travel players for anyone to think someone would run away with it........too bad the rain played such havoc or perhaps a few more great games could have been played......but of course next week we are all back to zero wins zero losses....and again anything can happen!
