Pretty poor defense by both teams tonight . It was hard to tell which team wanted it the least

We lost. Could have went either way, a few errors on both sides. Bolser did a great job keeping batters off balance, spain was effective as well. Vansant needed to close at some times she did not!! Was a pretty good game, factor in the errors on both sides, their girls, and young. Both teams had just as many errors, maybe beavers more, but still... Hope to be a little farther in the tourney next year, and you all in the lakota area,,,,stay away!!:lmao: Good luck in the tourney:cool:

I agree, no need to stir a pot....Northmont in my mind has been the team to beat all year.......they kind of sat in the background while others talk about how many wins their kid would get, stats, and spitting on each other, and what not, and they played their game with class. It will be a war and nothing will be given thats for sure. Not sure who DaBurg is but obviously is someone who has not put alot of thought into their comments.......Gannon you know our parents better than that, and I am shocked you would think a parent, or even a senior player, would post something like this...nuff said, .....CVille well what can I say......(we all know how big of a fan you are of the Burg)...maybe you looked past Northmont? Not sure but we will save a seat for ya....will be a good game for you to WATCH!

I am not a fan of ANY team that thinks spitting on opposing players is acceptable nor am I a fan of any team that posts what DaBurg posted. Sorry, I am not one to turn the other cheek over and over again...and yes, we are out of the tournament but held Northmont to 7 scoreless innings...it will be interesting to see if the Vikings can do the same...and you are right again, Northmont is a class act and that is why teams they defeat will root them on against, well, whoever else they may play...

I have nothing for or against Miamisburg, never have that I know of...the few times we have played when I have been around I don't remember much of anything eventful happening, other than us losing maybe? And we definitely did not look past Northmont, 7 innings of shutout softball pretty much says that...we knew it was the most important game of the year and played like that until some mental errors by the pitcher & catcher in the 8th. But I will admit, after your posts and Daburgs, I will switch from rooting for a Cyclone player's team and hope that Northmont hands your attitudes to you and your buddy on a platter. :D I am sure you won't mind! I will still root for Jess to have another good game though...

How can you dispute a player without the ball blocking the runner's path to the bag? Maybe you didn't see it, but it happened at 3rd base, right in front of you. This shot shows after she rolled off her, and the left fielder backing up the play tagging her. Well who couldn't do that?? :lmao:

OMG...are they tag teaming her? I hadn't heard about this...was the runner awarded the next base, don't tell me an OHSAA sanctioned genius called her out?!

Initial call was runner was out. Since Coach was right there and also saw the play, she called time and asked the umpires to review the rule, which is that a fielder without the ball cannot inhibit the runner's path to the base. Call was reversed and runner stayed on third. She was not rounding to advance to the next base, but diving back to where she had come from. They got the call right. ;)
Excellent, doesn't sound like a very controversial call to me
