Moving to Akron/Wadworth in February. Daughter Megan (2/1999) looking to play up in 14U. Throws 56mph, is left handed and 5 foot 11 inches. By age eligible to play 12U.


Appreciate the help and those who sent phone numbers, we will call in February when we arrive. Better for you and for us for Megan to get a tryout for a team. This enables you to be the judge and for us to review the team. Thanks for all the input.

Where are you guys from originally?

She throws 56mph, is left handed and 5 foot 11 inches. By age eligible to play 12?????? Sounds like you could just call up any team you want to and get her a spot regardless if they are advertising or not. PM me and I'll give you the contact info for some of the better orgs. in your new area, or if your willing to drive, i'll give you contact info for the best in the State. Good luck to you guys.

I'm assigned in Havana until Feb 1. We last lived in USA in Boca Raton in 2004. The problem is we have no contacts in Ohio.

Am i the only one that thinks this post is a little odd??? Come on- 5'10 12yr old lefty throwing 56 from Havana/Boca?? I'm guessing this is a parent(probably of a pitcher) "testing" their coach to see if the coach would bite and add another girl....

And IF i'm wrong, which i truley hope I am -but we all know pitcher's parents are CRAZY, best of luck to you and your move

I'm from the area, not a coach, just a parent, and not one of a 14U kid. If you'd like an unbiased opinion of organizations around Akron, please feel free to PM me. We did a fair amount of research and am happy to share what we learned.

Kind of curious as to why you want to play up, though??? Wanna face the best, of course, but if she is half of what you make her sound, then I'm sure you will find a team that will be facing the best 12U!!!!

Mabe you might want to check out some 16u if she is that tall and can throw 56 ,but also does she have any other pitches like change up ,curve, rise ball if so it will be fun to hear about her this summer.
