12U Coaches Poll Week 3 (5-10-21) Get Your Votes In!!!

At 10u and 12u it should be about developing your girls and hoping the Big 3 or 4 orgs. don't whisk them away. Who really cares about the rankings I just love to watch them play and get better, face some adversity and hopefully fight through it as it will only prepare them for the poopshow they will be dealing with later in life. And yes her team is on the list. And yes they have a tough schedule this year with maybe 1 or 2 . But those are used as a tuneup. Any of these top 15 could beat each other any given day if the ball hops their way and the guy behind the plate has a grudge against a coach.

I was just speaking in general. When you see a schedule that has 2 high profile events then 3 Ma & Pop events you scratch your head. With that said I haven't really dug in and checked everyone's schedules yet. I like seeing the strength of schedule and IMO i feel WOODSHED 09 plays one of the toughest schedules out there at this age group.

The validity of this poll is hilarious since Ice Blue doesn’t even have a team for the last two weeks and has been in shambles all season and Stingrays and Lasers haven’t even played. How accurate is this? Better find a new poll to put Woodshed 09 on your pedestal or have them play/beat more Ohio teams. No offense WS 09 but you haven’t beaten or played the top 5-6 in this Coach's poll. Passion your so out of touch with what these 12u teams are currently doing. But it makes for some good laughs.

Clearly it does not calculate wins and losses against good quality teams. That should be the only calculation that go into it. Not because your team is a National organization traveling the country. How do people know the quality of teams that a WS 09 team is playing from Alabama? There’s crappy teams there too. I’m not sure how the coaches poll is a popularity vote because y’all talk so much about each other i’m pretty sure none of ya’s like each other. I’ve heard.

I personally have no dog in this fight. I respect ALL of these coaches at 10 & 12u. They are playing tough teams and the softball IQ of most of these teams is really high. That alone tells me the coaches are doing a good job.


Why so much dislike of the Woodshed 09 team? Matt has built that team over the past few years and has done a quality job doing so. Several of these coaches have built incredible teams. Yea you might get an athlete that jumps ship here or there but the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

That was a butt whoopin. The only thing I can think of is the teams they’ve already played are high quality teams (mostly) and they’ve won besides that game so that’s why they are getting votes. Lol. If that happens again they don’t deserve a vote. I think I saw those games ended at like 2am. Still no excuse but I’ll give a pass to 12 year olds. This time.

No dog in this fight but I'd say the 2 games the Wolfpack played compared to the Outlaws probably were a little harder. Nothing like a blind draw at your own tournament. The bracket is on Tourney Machine.
