* Planning & executing Tourney's accounting for Acts of God or Forces of Nature to ensure a quality Tourney can be realized all things being considered for costs being charged.

Maybe TDs that feel up to it can promote the Tourney's they hosted in 2009 as well as our Life Time and Addicted members providing screen names of TDs on OFC and validated/accurate alignment with which tournies, so everyone isn't having to run out to the Tourney forum to research(But I guess that shouldn't be too hard either....) ^_^!

Come on TD's this is a chance for you all to get some positive feedback regardless whether people believe you're doing a great job or not, as I'm sure all of you can/will benefit from our OFC's perceptions at least.... ^_^~

I will start with a couple nominations of TDs in which I've really enjoyed the product they've put out. (in no specific order)

- Quakerman...
(Free Uni Tournies, getting Goshen on the map as a big time forum for SW Ohio. And always about the girls first.

- Patty A(have to find her OFC screen name@ Rivershore...)
for coming up with unique tourney forums in which Saturday & Sun til 3:00pm timelines force short waiting times between games, and better energy/focus for fans, players, and umpires. Found these to be more fun and friendly on everyone, but obviously limits # of teams that can partake. Definately a MODEL for CLASSIFIED Travel Competition in which A++ only play A++ teams and B only Play B teams, in which smaller enrollment is welcome and appropriate.... Maybe glimpse into the future...Hmmmmmmm

Expressway for sure. Big improvement this year. All they need to do is get fences, walking taco's and change to ASA and they will be the best. Stingrays is already up there.

MUSTI,
OK, this is about the TD not the park.. so please nominate TD.. and are all Tournaments Expressway run by the same TD... I don't know, but if so,, then I need to know the TD that is solely coordinating all their Tourneys. Please advise. Thanks!

OK where's the love for the Central, Northern, NE, SE,and NW based TDs?????

Buehler, Buehler,.... any other TDs worth nominating for 2009 OFCs - "TD of the Year"?

Oh yeah and with Northern Kentucky, SW Indiana, and NW Penn all hosting numerous events attended by OH OFC supporters, can/should these TDs also be included...(OFC ADMINS RULING.... PLEASE?)

Expressway TD is the owners of the park. I'm sure Lester will second my nomination and he will have their name. Bowens maybe.

I went to the Parma Wildcats Tournament last year, for the first time. It was a great tournament, Great teams playing, Also No gate fees or parking fees to go and watch my granddaughters play. Also i had e-mailed and called the tournament director Todd Harbaugh twice, he always called or e-mailed me back very fast, i did not have a team playing just my granddaughters playing with their teams. he did not need to go out of his way to call me or e-mail me back with directions and the other things i had asked, but he did.

He works hard to give not only the kids but all family members a great tournament. Plus I see he is now going to do even more for the girls and the little ones for this years tournament (bounce city, what a great idea), my vote goes out for Todd Harbaugh, Parma Wildcats Spring Shootout Tournament

Another vote for Todd Harbaugh with the Parma Wildcats Spring Shootout. Todd has worked very hard to make the Wildcats tournament a success. The 1st year he had 30 some odd teams and decent competition, to last year with 64 teams and some of the best teams this state has to offer. Todd makes himself available day and night before, during, and after the tournament to make sure the girls and coaches have had a good experience. There have been some growing pains along the way that have been addressed and corrected (another sign of a competent TD). On innovation: Todd is planning on having a competitive home run derby this year with very nice prizes, and a inflatable play area for younger siblings of players. I believe Todd has gone above and beyond to make this event into what it is today in only 3 short years.

I would have to say Denny Rose in Toledo, The Toledo Tune-up, SGS shoot-out and USSSA Northern States...and the TD whose name for some reason I am drawing a blank on that runs the Pre season Fastpitch Classic and the Fastpitch Classic. All the tournaments are well run...if your going to play in a big tournament in Toledo I can vouch for those 5 tournaments.

My nomination would have to go for Ricky Moorehead...

Ricky does the Independence Weekend, Ohio River Valley Shootout, the Jamboree, and last year the Rec League Youth League World Series.
These are very well ran tournaments. We've been attending Ricky's tournaments for 5 years now and no matter what comes up he has someone there to deal with it. He has a director at each field location, he listens to suggestions for the following years, plenty of restrooms and good concessions. You always get a fast decision whether it's on bad weather or just someone to listen as you blow of steam about a call lol. He makes it a family atmosphere and has his wife, daughter and son there...just a great family event. His Jamboree is one of the later tournies of the year and has teams from all over attend, and last year hosted the RLYL World Series, the first to do that in Ohio, at what I'm sure was great personal expense to his family, so you know it's not about the money with him.
I think sometimes we all see Ricky as "the guy on the website" and forget how much he has done for softball not only in our neck of the woods in Zanesville, but across the state.
