The Valley Storm will be holding tryouts for the 2013-14 season as noted below. Our organization is based out of Tipp City, Ohio just 10 minutes north of Dayton.

Our 2013-14 organizational model includes 6 teams from 10U to 18U. Visit our website for more information or to pre-register for tryouts. Pre-registering is not required.

THE Valley Storm Fastpitch softball Organization is a well established 8th year organization based out of Southwest / Central Ohio, But we currently have and have had high end players from Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, as well as all over Ohio. Our main focus is helping our players get recruited in college. We are looking for top shelf players who are serious about softball and who have hopes of playing in college. I will be dropping back down to coach a new 16U team for 2014. After coaching 18U for years I am dropping back down. All but 1 of my players have been recruited and they are moving on to college.
I am starting the process of putting together another very tough 16U team. Looking for elite players who want to be a part of it.
Myself as well as my asst are non parent coaches. We know how to win and have fun doing it. Will be taking only 11 players. Looking for high end pitching, speed on the bases, great bats, and solid defensive players with great arms.

For the 2013/2014 season, I will be staying at 14U for a third year. Our goal is to establish a team to begin to work towards college exposure. We plan to get this team ready for 16U and full blown college exposure by attending showcase tournaments, attending college camps, establishing player profiles, and just plain hard work.

We want ladies who are dedicated to softball and willing to work hard for the good of the team. The team will practice throughout the fall on Sunday afternoons and hit through the winter until school ball. ALL positions are open and speed is a plus.

Tentative schedule may include Dayton Metro, Lasers, ASA States, and Buckeye Showdown Recruitfest, among others.

For 2014 we will continue what we have already started. Valley Storm 99 (Wright) has 2 places thus far this year, and competed with the best at Laser Nation and ASA States. Great pitching/catching and a solid defense is the strength of our team. Need some great hitters to complete an already solid team. We will have our core of ladies returning but all positions will be earned not given. Our outlook for 2014 is to be the premier 14u team in the area.

For the 2014 season, Valley Storm 00 (Weaver) will be moving up to 14u. We have a solid core of talented young ladies who have experienced success this season and are ready to take it to the next level. We are looking for some key players to add to our already solid roster. We need girls who want to work hard all year to get better, as we will continue to work throughout the fall and winter. All positions on this team will be earned, not given. We are looking for that #1 pitcher who has speed and wants plenty of mound time with a solid defense behind her.

Being that we will be the younger of our 14u teams, we will be looking to stay a little more local for our tournaments while still playing the most challenging and competitive schedule that we can. Right now, we are considering 2 out of town tournaments that may require hotel stays.

Jo has a very talented group of ladies on this team along with a good coaching staff - we have faced Jo's team four times this year and I can say they will be a team to watch in the next year or so.

The idea behind my 2014 16U team is to place high end players at each position, therefore surrounding each player with talent. I am looking for players who are consistent big hitters and or slappers. Speed on the bases along with aggressive base running skills will be a plus. Also looking for high end pitchers who have command of their pitches and who can change pitch speeds at will.
Our 18U team this year has achieved 100% recruitment, moving back down to help a new group get recruited.

Valley Storm - England takes 1st place in the Force Showcase this weekend. Going undefeated, scoring over 50 runs while giving up just 7. Great job ladies !!!

Valley Storm 99 (Wright) finished the season at a record of 41-25-2 with 2 runner-ups, 3 top 5 finishes, and a sweet 16 out of 96 teams at the ASWS. We were a true all '99 first year 14u playing a very demanding and competetive schedule. Looking for a few more key components for 2014!
