this is a great tournament year after year and when looking at the team list for the 14's in 2012, wow! This year's registered list is the same IMO. We too have been denied in the past. Keep working hard, play a tough schedule, try to obtain some success and over time you "may" get the invite. Been a long time coming for many.

My DD team -Ohio Classics '96 did not make the cut. This is a team that came in 5th last year at the Stingrays Tourney.

Not many international posters here so I emailed the coach of Team Mexico 16U to see if they got in. Unfortunately, I don't speak Spanish so I am still not sure. What does this mean?

I know 2 very good 13U teams that did not get from "out of State".

The Gators finished runner up last year at 12U so IMO they deserved a spot. Do not know of any other 13U teams that got in.

That's a good description of that team. I would love to replay that championship game every weekend! It was a great reminder of why we love this game. You just don't see a first baseman dive into a ****** goal to catch a foul ball very often

I'm basing it on the people I've talked to and know got accepted.

we saw the Gators 99 back when we were at 12u, (I know 2 years ago), but they were tough then, probably as tough if not tougher than their 98 team. Both were very competitive though. To me, to be a 'young' team and get in, you probably proved something extraordinary to the selection committee. I'm sure some '2nd year' teams will get snubbed but should be a rare occurrence. I would imagine the application and how it was written (content, schedule, org name, location) all play a factor but I'm truly guessing at this point as to the what the factor(s) are and how the teams float to the acceptance level. Had to be painful to decide...
