People have differing opinions on whom is an expert...How about a ask the expert message name ,who could answer question s privately or post on the site for them with discretion and is trusted to answer in a unbiased manor
When the idea was first brought up at the end of last night's radio show, I thought it had merit, especially in situations say where the poster might be new to the game and wanted to ask a "dumb" question to just learn without being afraid to expose their "ignorance". And I thought it was way better than people just setting up multiple user names. In 11+ years on the Forum, I have only ever had one user name, and pretty much everyone knows who I am. But the responses here make a good point that it probably would be used more to hide while bashing coaches, organizations or parents, if even in an indirect way. The issue is that in this world of political correctness, some people are afraid to post anything critical or controversial, and it might have been a way to at least bring issues to the forefront. The Forum has spoken in terms of not liking the idea, but does anyone have any other ideas how to accomplish the same thing?

They should just PM their question(s) to a user they respect and trust. IME, people are willing to help each other out.
Trustworthiness is a tough thing to come by in the fastpitch world. People you think you can trust, turn out to be shady, a large percentage of the time. I think I can count on one hand, the people I truly trust. But I totally get what you are saying.
I don't see how a newbie would sense a bias if they haven't been around long enough to know/evaluate people. A newbie can/will post their questions because no one knows them. I think OP is more concerned about regulars that are known by others and they've likely formed opinions about other users.Question who should they respect and trust?I'm sure if your a regular on the site you know who they are.Id say the TSZ staff have a good source for there question to be answered fairly No one really needs to know who's answering them,The person asking will sense a bias.People have differing opinions on whom is an expert...

So everyone is missing AD?
