Hitting and Hitters Discussion average bat question

I would have to say more line drives than distance. Now the Worth Maniac Insanity had more distance. I was going to buy the M-Pulse but it is not legal for NSA play. Actually looking into buying the Insanity. Just trying to get more reviews on it and I have to check the legality of it for ASA & NSA.

DD loves her Miken OKC, but it is banned in NSA. Was OK for H.S. and ASA this past year.

DZ,

I was going to ask about the OKC, how is it for distance?

My daughter has both a Rockettech and a Synergy. She loves the RT, mostly because of the grip. The synergy has a narrower grip, and it stings her hand. She uses the synergy in the cages, saves her RT for the games.

I've got a question. I don't like rumors, but, I overheard from one of our high school coaches, that ASA was going to ban the RT for 2006. Does anyone have any information about this? I'd like to get my DD one of the RT cage bats, to use in the cages, but, i don't want to throw my money away, if they're going to ban it.

thanks ...........

Only thing I've heard concerns the 2004 model, but I haven't had a chance to talk to Nate to confirm or rebuke that yet.

Avita,

Distance for the OKC is very good. After she got the bat, most of the H.S. players started using it.

She is using a Catalyst for NSA, but still uses the OKC when allowed. She tried RT and a couple others, but does not like the more end-loaded type of bat.

Please remember the topic. The question was about average priced bats, not high end bats.

Shame on you all for straying from the ???Topic??? Thank you wvanalmsick for setting everyone straight and getting us back on the ???Topic???. Give me a break. I appreciate everyone???s opinions on all the bats that you are familiar with. While we are on the subject, does anyone have an opinion on the DeMarini Bats?

We were told by an ASA ump in Columbus that the RT 04 will not be allowed during next season anywhere.

My DD used a Louisville Slugger TPS Platinum before I bought her big money bat. ?Has alot of pop on it and won't break the bank, priced around $110 dollars. ?I would say the ball comes off this bat as hard as any bat I"ve seen, including the big money bats!

Where to test bats and buy?

Does anyone know of a location in the Akron/Clev area in which you can test out (batting cages) the big money bats like RT, Synergy, etc, and purchase the one you like best?

11u, time to get a good bat, but don't want to just spend big bucks without knowing that it at least feels good in the cage first!! Trying in games is nice, but of course there is a lot going on then, instead of just focusing on the feel of the bat.

To answer your questions earlier on the 2004 RKT FP:

just a rumor...

the ASA contract states that we had to stop SELLING the 04 RKT FP but it never said they would become illegal for play.

According to the contract the 2004 RKT FP can be used forever.

Check out Ebay for a good price on even the higher end bats. We bought a Miken M-Pulse for well below the average retail price.

Be certain you get new bats with receipts but just purchased a 2006 Easton Synergy for $215.00 including shipping.
