Was this fall friendly an (ASA/USA) Qualifier or ASA *A* Gold tournament oe something? I wonder how some of the teams in this friendly did at the Laser fall invitational a few weeks ago? Kinda wonder if most teams in this were full teams or if a lot of them had pick up players filling in?

I am sure it was a nice friendly but bragging about winning this is kinda foolish. The only thing that could be worse would be to brag about it on your team facebook page LOL.

Well this is what a Team of 9- 98BD and 3-97BD can do very well and thats is playing ball.

I almost did not reply, but as the day went on, it didn't settle. As a parent (and assistant coach) of an all 11U group, I am beyond proud of the way our girls played. I would be upset with myself if they thought for one minute I DIDN'T brag about the fact that while some very lazy people in our world let their children sit on their butts and collect dust and fat, our girls are out in the cold busting theirs.

They played great, no matter who we played, what name the organization, or what color the jersey. So next time you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, how about keeping your snotty comments to yourself! And YES, our team has a facebook page...do us both a favor and don't Like it.

@Hawks-Ferrigno... There are a lot of haters, and sometimes you have to brush them off. Like you kid puts in the work to try to be great, and she does it for herself, not you or anyone else. It's easy to chime in when you think everyone else will chime in with you, but you end up looking stupid when it backfires and you standing alone with your pants down looking stupid!

@Run 26 Thank you very much for your kind words! Mykee works so hard at what she does, and so does her team! But she gets GREAT coaching to help her along the way. Her team puts the time in, and it shows on the field..

I think some parents have a chip on their shoulder? Nothing was pointed at you Fred by saying crazy parents, You know as well as I do that I had a few. Yes, Mykee was, is and will be a great player and that is because she works hard at it like you mentioned. I wish all the girls I have coached nothing but the best and if you talk to others that know me they will tell you that I still boast about them. They were all great kids but like I said, there are some crazy parents out there that is hurting them. There is no perfect world for a coach, parent or player but things can go perfect if all can get along.

Not to mention a role model. My DD looks up to her so much! I guess all the paraents who brag about their kids for getting in the special Olympics shouldn't brag because they are physically challenge and it wasn't a LASERS tournament! Give me a break. Be proud of your damn kids, your club and the softball community!

I'm not very fimiliar with the older 16/18u young ladies in SWO but I know that in the 12/14u brackets SWO is starting to build. There was some quality ball played this past weekend. Here up in the big town of Tipp City, we are starting to be competitive. We are starting to recruit better now than we have in years past. It's a building process of developing players and finding those who are willing to put "fastpitch first". With that being said, I'm glad to see SWO united!

not when there are idiots that want to bash teams and players and parents.

What I find so funny is that the people that think you stink and say they could care less about your team or organization are the first people to check your facebook page on a daily basis. HAHA... A lot of time wasted worrying about a team or org you are not worried about!!! LMAO.......

I thought it was good Lester. It would be nice if we could all get along. After all it is about the kids.

It was great! You are my favorite peace keeper.

Seriously, this thread is a joke, or I should say the statements rejecting a team's happiness for winning and being torn down is a joke.

You are correct young man. Girls that win have a swagger about them that is natural, not an ego, simply a swagger. Coaches therefor should have that swagger to in my opinion. Coaches that put there tourney wins on whatever sites they wish to is awesome for the girls to reflect back on and it does not matter what tourney or level it is. There are so many good teams out there that just about any tourney is good anymore. Yes, some are traditionally better than others but winning any tourney these days is tough. Goodluck to all teams in 2013. It should be a fun year.
