First of all - congratulations!! We really enjoyed playing against you guys and it's nice to see that you ended up winning it all!!

Secondly - You beat us 5-4 in the elimination game - not 5-3. : ) lol

Hope to see you all again....Good luck with the rest of your season!

Congrats on your finals win in Hamburg. I watched the game and I must say, your girls can HIT THE BALL!! Very impressive team you have coach.

What I would like to ask though is about your game against the Diamond girls which you lost 11-0. How did that happen. I am the type of person to confront someone about rumors and please do not take this the wrong way. I mean no offensive by talking about it. The rumor was your entire team bat opposite side. That team you beat in the semi's is another impressive team. You handled them well in the semi's. Again, please take no offense. I am only asking.

None taken. I am not sure where the rumor about having my girls bat the opposite side came from. I only have one girl that switches on a semi-regular basis depending on what we are asking her to do for that at bat. All girls batted from the side of the plate that they naturally bat from on Saturday and Sunday vs New Era. We do play and coach differently on Saturdays and Sundays and have different goals for each day. We call pitches different, defend different, bat different, everything, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

I was very impressed by the teams that we played in New York especially the New Era and Hamburg Xtreme teams. Both of them were top quality teams that could win a lot of games in Ohio. The talk around the fields was that the New Era team couldn't be beat and when you watch them play you know why people talk like that. Thanks for compliments about the hitting the ball. It's all the girls. We are the young team but they work hard at what they do and it finally paid off.

I'm glad you did not take offense to it. I know it's hard to relay emotions via the internet. New Era is the Elite team for our area. They always have very large tryouts of girls from all over Western New York. That team was the young 12. All the DG teams play up. They really prepare themselves well. They play league play up but play Tourny's to their level. Well, their level being their age bracket. It was a good tournament and I'm sure when our girls get to that age we'll be in it to.

Interesting enough we almost made it out to your tournament this year. We are at the Reach for the Starzz tournament next weekend and are looking forward to the usual high caliber play we get when we visit Ohio. Last year we did the Buckeye showdown and met a lot of GREAT teams at 10U. Anyway, sorry for the high-jack! Great game!
