Not to speak for Kavin,
But...Kavins team played a "very good" exposure schedule as did most of the other STATIC teams. There is NOTHING wrong with a team ending the year at a national of their choice.
His ladies will be "just fine" as it relates to college opportunities (as will most that play under this organization) and the organizations/teams schedules in 2014 will continue to feature teams that play in the best events avaliable...

Thanks so much for your interest in the Cincy STATIC and by all means...find your way to our tryouts to experiance the STATIC difference...
The STATIC is always looking for ladies who are wanting to play the best competition avaliable in some of the best events avaliable...

It is the coaches job to get the ladies in front of college coaches, along with the ladies doing their work and sending out their schedules to the colleges their interested in. Then when the time comes it is the coaches job to do what the college coaches ask them to do, so if this means putting a lady or ladies in positions they normally do not play and taking a chance on losing the game then so be it. I would rather the ladies lose every game and get into the college or a college of their choice as this is the ultimate goal. I do believe a college education will get you farther in life than winning any game or nationals. Though it would be a great time to win a national event or even get in the finals I would much rather see my players full fill their dreams and play the game they love in a college they choose. Then they are the ultimate winner in the game called LIFE. Hope to see lots of ladies at tryouts having a blast doing what they love to do. Goodluck to all!!!

I guess Orlando is home to the "Happiest Place on Earth" though. If you can't reach your dreams from there, you should be able to get fairly close.

How did the FAST thing fit into that plan? Did they get a lot of exposure there?

They had fun, they won some and lost some, they got knocked out, they were somewhat surprised the team count fell apart. Ultimately, that 97 team is known for doing some good things due to great families, great players, and coaches with a view of solid training and goal setting that the entire group all strive for and agreed to in the Fall of last year. The FAST thing only mattered to others at times besides the 97 team and at no time do they chase a weak venue knowingly. A learning moment for the organization and actually they loved the event FWIW. The 97 Morgan team traveled quite a bit across the country this year and had lots of exposure all season. Very proud to be associated with them, their results, and the every growing path that the Static Org continues to envision. We've had to re-do the past exposure efforts (as all things become dated or need to be enhanced and new/better relationships forged) for they were dated and not nearly as in-depth as we liked. The future is bright here even when events are what they are cracked up to be. I'm sure if Kavin chooses he'll mention any exposure in Orlando.... I'm sure they were exposed to the hot-humid sun aplenty.

having sat through another Cincy Static board meeting last night, these guys are great and have your DD's and family's in mind for sure! Our improved layout, planning, and scheduling should allow us to run another set of tryouts that are known to be efficient and precise. Take the time to get to know your potential coach here and at other tryouts. Spend time with our returning players and families. We'd love to chat with you...

Our official times, locations, and coaches are in the first post as well as on the one and only Cincy Static Facebook and webpage. Home of the Cincy Static Girls Fastpitch Organization or https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cincy-Static-Fastpitch/159338557499510

We are excited to offer some talented coaching to you and intentions of having some competitive teams again this year. With weather being a potential issue on Saturday morning, please make sure you check the web page for rain updates.

Do your good weather dances on Friday night!

That was addressed in a separate thread & yes very disappointing for sure. 2013 Summer schedule included: Lasers / Stingrays / Colorado Sparkler / Atlanta Legacy / ASA States / FAST (unfortunately), dropped out of Dayton Metro do to not having enough girls b/c of HS Playoffs. So as Rob mentioned, you can see we only played in one event that would have qualified us for ASA/USA (States) but we would not have went regardless as we would have not had several girls available due to their Indiana schools going to a balanced schedule & starting on 8/1. Unfortunately no college exposure at FAST given the amount of teams which dropped out.

Let me also add our team needs and information for the Cincy Static '02 team (11U):

We are having open tryouts and will look at any player, no matter the position. We are a part of the majority that is always looking for an amazing pitcher to add to the roster. I know in the past this team has operated mainly out of the Harrison, OH area, but this year we will be practicing in a more central location (think Fairfield or Sharonville). If anyone has any questions about the '02 team or would like further information, feel free to contact me at dreholtman@gmail.com or 513.410.2168.

Thanks,

Andrea

They have several returning players and a good coach. Plan is to build a competitive team to follow our prior 12u teams historical example and beyond.

I also wanted to put in a plug for our Cincy Static '03 (10U) team that will also be holding open tryouts this coming Saturday (with the rest of the Cincy Static organization!). We will be based primarily out of the Mason area with regards to practice location.

If you have any questions related to the '03 team, or if would like additional information, please feel free to contact me at chad.lape@live.com.

We are very lucky to have Chad & his staff join our organization. We had the chance to help him & his team through the fall & spring & were very impressed how he brought his team along & the desire he & his coaching staff had in improving their kids. Welcome again Chad!!!

Kavin - Thanks go to you, Les and the other Static coaches and players that gave up their time and energy to help us this past winter and spring. That support and passion for the game helped make our decision to join the Static a "no-brainer"!

Concerning team needs, with the decision to join the Cincy Static, we also decided to make this an open tryout so that all positions/slots for the team will be available. We will be looking for girls that demonstrate terrific athletic ability and potential, coupled with an attitude/desire to learn and grow together as a team.

This was posted in a separate thread by Paul (Static 97 North) & Tim (Static '98 Blue): The Cincy Static 97 North team and the Cincy Static 98 Blue team is holding tryouts in Columbus, Ohio this Sunday at Daree Fields in Dublin. Address to the park is 6259 Cosgray Rd. Dublin, Ohio 43015. Tryouts will be held from 1:00 to 4:00. Please be there half hour early to do some paper work and to get loose. The fields will be behind the water towers when you pull into the park. We have had a lot of interest in our teams so we have decided to do a tryout in Columbus. Static 97 North is needing outfielders, 3rd/ss, catcher, and utility players. Our schedule will include two to three fall tournaments or friendlies and about the same schedule as last year. Dayton Metro, Lasers, ASA States, PGF Qualifiers, Dreams all American Showcase, Gapps and a Nationals TBD. Also looking to go to Oklahoma for the Hall of Fame Tournament, Atlanta Legacy and possibly Colorado. If interested please give Paul Moore a call at 937-605-9877 or Tim Shepherd of the Static 98 Blue at 513-236-4147. Thank You and Goodluck at tryouts.

Less than 10 hours away from our tryout. I want to thank in advance for those who are going to attend & also those whom even gave our organization a thought. We never under estimate the decision that each player & parent has to make at this time of year. Best of luck to all & hope you find that softball home you have dreamed of.
