Now i dont want to start some political debate, but you have got to be kidding me. With one photo of this lady playing softball she has been stereotyped. What in the hell is the news and media sending with what they are insinuating to our girls that play softball. I know, i know we have already heard this before and its not the first time and probably wont be the last. Just kinda woundering if we as parents should stop taking pics of our daughters just in case they want to run for some sort of OFFICE one day!!!

Most people who comment on her photo could not hang with our DD's on the softball field anyways so they have to degrade those who do play softbll.

I haven't seen the picture. If she can play a little ball, that would certainly help in my eyes. If she can't, well, that's a strike against her.

Don't know if everyone's up to speed on this---Kagan is Obama's nominee for Supreme Court Justice.

There's been a photo published of her playing softball---with some implying that she must be a lesbian because she plays ball.

Not saying that these are legitamate parallels, but I know many people that think that a strong female athlete must be gay. Drives me crazy!!!

When my dd was in 4th or 5th grade she was playing CYO fastpitch and we had another team file a complaint that we had three boys playing on our team. "No girls can play that well" is what we were told. CYO sent out a investigator to interview the three girls (my dd and the other two had very short hair) and determine if they were indeed boys or girls. The other team continued to make comments the rest of the season about our girls, simply because they had short hair and could play well.

The problem I have with her is she has never been a judge and has never been in the military! In fact, no one on the bench has any military experience...........first time in our history! Sad

I think it implies she wasn't much of a hitter. Terrible stance - appears to be closed and knuckles not aligned, elbows too wide. Why is she choked up so far, bat obviously too big for her. She obviously isn't facing any good pitching without a helmet and what's up with the white tennis shoes?
