If GWOC has already started talking then the GMC should start right?

Interesting fact - Mason (2008) and Colerain (2009) finished 4th in the GMC the years they made it to the final four!

yep. The Cardinals have a solid lineup. If a pitcher emerges, Colerain could compete for the GMC this season. If not...well, the GMC is too deep to not have pitching and expect to compete.

Who's the favorite this season? Mason? Fairfield? West?

girls sports in the GMC are outstanding!

Does Mason still have the same coach? I read that he is coaching football now?

Yes Mason's Coach is finishing this season with this year's team.

i know i am prejudice toward Mason for obvious reasons, but the other schools don't really have EVERYTHING it might take to get to final 4 again and Mason has been there twice in 3 years, losing only to Colerain last year in order to go.

Mason has 7 starting seniors, and all 11 varsity players are ASA "A" travel ball competitors that have played at the highest level.

West has 2 good pitchers - but all the Mason girls have played with both of them in season and in summer. East is re-building. Colerain needs a pitcher - against Mason bats - hmmm i don't see it - Everyone else in GMC is not in the top 3. Mason has not finish 1st in the league - but look for them post season as usual to take off like a rocket!!!

I do not see an undefeated season by any means - but I know they are going to give every school a run for the money - Mason is not a pushover this year and they will have a target on thier back.

I thought Colerain beat Glen Este last year in order to go to the final four?

And I'd say Mason and West are the teams to beat this year..

Wow I hope that someone associated with Colerain takes issue with
Megamoms claim that they need a pitcher.I know that Emily is gone
and their pitcher is young but I heard she does a fine job and will keep
them competitive in all their games.I love it when people like her get on
here this early in the season and boast about how good their team is
going to be because usually that is the kiss of death so please MEGA
keep talking and the rest of us in the GMC will just go play ball.

Played their (Colerain) indoor team last Sat. Nice pitcher, she threw well. Got a nice one coming next year too. 8th grader, she pitched an inning for them sat. Emily Schwaeble has been helping, she does a nice job working with the younger girls. Always great to give back to your school. Great job Em.. & Ron.

Tim, what's a "ferver" is that between a fever and a shiver ?

takes issue? nah...but I was thinking of forwarding her comments to coach Dayton. :D

(j/k)

I'm excited for the upcoming season. The GMC is so good and competitive. I think this is the year the WeAreColerain.com will add video highlights to its coverage of Colerain fastpitch.

My sleeper pick is Lakota East to win the conference. Pearson (Player of Year in FAVC twice - I think) is now at East. Pitching is the name of the game and I will put her up against any high school pitcher.

Lakota West, Lakota East and Mason will be the teams to beat. There are lots of great teams, but these three have seasoned pitching and depth. Fairfield has experienced pitching, but has lost some depth. The difference will be the team who can put some runs on the board.

Health has a lot to do with it. Teams who get key players hurt or sick will have more to overcome which could create an opening for other teams.
