Hi all, thought i'd go to the experts here. I know this was talked about before: it is our interpretation that technically you can continue to participate with your travel team [of course less then 4 players from any school] up till the point that the h.s. plays in a scrimmage, preview or game, is that correct.

The reason we are asking, there is an indoor scrimmage night feb. 27th. which is after pitcher/catchers report, but it is our belief this has no consequences with OHSAA.

I know JoeA etc. will know, and wanted to make sure! :)

ohsaa does not see indoor softball as a sport, second a scrimmage must be against another school and not inter squad scrimmage

You can play or practice until the first scrimmage(against another team),preview or regular season game. I always try to avoid any activity during that time because I would not want any injuries to occur that would cause them to miss any HS time.

July 24 - The OHSAA has revised the sport regulation regarding indoor softball and baseball to reflect that members of the same school team are no longer permitted to participate on the same non-interscholastic indoor softball or baseball team in excess of the four player limitation (50-percent rule), with the exception of from November 1 to February 1 during the school year.
This is the idoor softball change this year. Rest of the above is correct!
