I was really hoping Helicopters would turn out to be some form of concession stand food even better than walking taco's. I guess that's just not possible...

Anyone else celebrate Cinco De Mayo with homemade walking taco's last week? :)

Has anyone considered that helicopter rides could offset the cost of drying off ball fields.......... come on Quake the way your mind spins im realy surprised you dont at least have a part ownership in one.
PS. it would go over real nice with your leather aviator cap

My helicopter guy did write me awhile back and say he got a bigger one to use...LOL I want one of those that are so big that it could eliminate water in the "rice paddies".

We do have two Hueys available to use for the Clinton/Akron tournament on July 24th-25th for the 10u teams tournament .... whose kids get to go free to an Akron Racers game on Saturday night of the tournament. See Jenny Finch and the Chicago Bandits come to town to take their beat downs from Crystal and Company.

Shameless plug in progress.

It takes a special breed of person to go to that expense and time so kids can play ball. Man, could we use more of you in this world.

We always preach about it being all for the girls. This gentleman definitely walks the walk, demonstrating it through his kindness and generosity.

Their's was free though :yahoo: Gotta love free helicopters.

Letter to George...

Dear George:

Please note the dates of our future tournaments for the next ten (10) years enclosed in this letter. Your availability is requested. We will "honor" your presence at the tournament all weekend long and you will have "free range" at our concession stand for the entire weekend.

We thank you for this year's gift of the usage of your helicopter .. the girls had a great time and loved it due to your efforts.

CMON NOW!

George, I think MOST TD's budget somewhere around $200-$300 in diamond dry, if they are serious about getting games in on rainy weekends. Looks like we ALL WIN if we simply create the HELICOPTER FUND in which any Tourney's that are LUCKY enough to be dry, their HELI FUND go into the OFC HELI FUND, so there is ALWAYS HELI MONEY IF WHEN NEEDED>

GEORGE, are you out there, what do you think. Sounds like a really neat side gig that allows you to fullfill your flying at a discount rate while you HELP OUT ALL THE DDs IN OHIO. ^_^!

Missed the helicopter (slept in a little with a later Sunday start), but was there at 6:45am on Saturday with rake and bag of drying agent in hand.

Hats off to Dan and the boys (who are too numerous to mention) for making it a successful one, regardless of the weather. Nice job, guys...the young ladies certainly appreciated it, and I had a ball. :yahoo:
