High School Girls playing travel ball before High School Season is Over

There is nothing inane about wanting to play for your school and community, my kid has multiple state titles and national finishes in the summer but the only title she remembers is a school title.
If you knew how bad the rec and school coaching was here where we are you might not be so excited. This is my DDs second year of travel and she loves her team. The high school team was better this year. It improved from an insane travesty to just being sad.

I have not been on this site in years. I see the same old discussions. End this debate. It is so clear. To not understand is to not want to understand.

IN 2010 the official end of the season is June 12, 2010 Until that date you are a member of the high school team. JV, Varsity, Freshman has no impact on the rule. Up to that date the coach can call a practice, set-up a scrimmage, etc. If you play in a travel or rec ball game and then play in a high school game before June 12 you have violated the rule and subject to sanctions. In our program we make the date clear to all, prior to the season. Our players can not play or practice outside the high school team until the 13th of june this year period.

I think that you missed the point, are you telling me that 2 weeks of practice will make that big of a difference come next spring? If it was my kid I would place much more value in the 50 games of experience this summer over 2 weeks of missed practice.:)
No, we are talking about girls who will not be playing with their high school team but would be unable to practice with their summer team because their high school team happens to still playing. The girls that are not still playing theoretically need to practice and work more to improve. Why would you advocate keeping them from doing so, whether it is a day a week or a month??
