Composite bat question?

The word on the street (or field) is that composite bats break easier when used in the cold weather. Who can define "too cold"?

Louuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu,

here's a copy of the Anderson Bat Co. (maker of the Rockettech) warranty:

ABC does not warrant any bat that has been (a) modified, (b) used in a batting cage, (c) used for a purpose other than for which it was designed, (d) used with balls exceeding 525 pounds of compression, (e) used in temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit/15 degrees Celsius, (f) used as a "team bat" or (g) purchased through auction sites. Third party receipts, such as PayPal, Paypoint, etc., will not be accepted.

As you can see, the 60 degree threshold pretty much voids the warranty in almost all Ohio games in the Spring, lol.

Hey KJBM,

I thought that's why they made those nifty bat warmers :)

But don't tell anyone, especially Ringer or Statman :lmao:

"Yes sir, I know it's 25 degrees outside, but I swear.... my daughter was doing tee work in the basement when the bat shattered, it's 70 degrees down there." :lmao:

Note: You should not use a Fastpitch Softball Bat made of composite materials or amorphous alloys if you play fastpitch softball during cold weather, that is, under 60 degrees or during hot weather, that is over 110 degrees. While these Fastpitch Softball Bats cause the ball to quickly "leap" off the bat and add a great deal of distance to hits, when used in extreme weather conditions these very expensive Fastpitch Softball Bats can be damaged. In short, if you play in cold or extremely hot weather, use a Fastpitch Softball Bat that is aluminum or graphite/titanium-lined Fastpitch Softball Bat until the weather improves.

FASTPITCH! Anything else, And you're playing to SLOW!
