Needing a pair of wins to keep the postseason alive, the Lady Warriors would finish strong to earn the sweep, defeating Southwestern, 2-0 and 7-6.

OTTAWA, Kan. - The Bethel Threshers (10-21, 6-16) hit the road this afternoon for two of their final four games of the year. They traveled east to take on the Ottawa Braves (23-17, 15-7), a team the Threshers have never beaten in their program history. It appeared that was going to be old news in Game 1, as Bethel started out firing on all cylinders with six runs in two innings. Things turned in Ottawa's favor though, as the Braves clinched the game with a walkoff homerun and upending Bethel's chances at the victory. Ottawa carried this momentum into Game 2, defeating Bethel 11-3 in five innings.

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Number seven seed Point University (30-17) scored four runs in the first inning and added an insurance run in the top of the seventh and held on for a 5-3 victory over number two seed Union College (31-19) in a first-round game at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament, Wednesday, April 24, at the Brickyard Ballfields in Kingsport, Tenn. Point won its 30th game of the season, the second time in its eight-year softball history that the Skyhawks have won 30 or more games under the direction of Jennifer Tyler. The 2017 team won 31 games and lost 22. Point has won 28 or more games in four consecutive seasons.

With the wins, the Warriors stand at 22-21 and 13-10 in the NE10 while the defeats send the Crimson and Grey to 9-29, 5-19 NE10.

The Eagles (24-14, 18-4 KCAC) upset the Bulldogs (27-14, 16-4 KCAC) 6-1 in game one, before falling 5-2 in the nightcap. Emerson Yakle's solo shot in the sixth set a new single-season home run record for Avila.

Santee, CA - The Hope International University Royals traveled to Santee, CA to take on the San Diego Christian College Hawks in the final double header of the season before the Golden State Athletic Conference. The Royals entered the contest 40-12 overall and 17-6 GSAC competition while the Hawks were 12-32 overall and 4-19 in the GSAC.
