I'm not sure if this thread belongs here or not .... please move the thread to the proper forum if it's a problem.

Has anyone used NCSA to help market your DD or any student athlete in your home? (www.NCSASports.org has been advertised on this site)

Looking for both good and bad feedback. Feel free to PM me or post away here!

Thanks in advance!

me too ..... multiple sports

The founder of the company I have questioned also wrote the book "Athletes Wanted" which has been a great read. So many questions that I never would have known to ask. The book was very informative. I am simply trying to find out if the recruiting company is as good as the book.

You can do it yourself. 1 in 100,000 kids play a D1 sport, so work on the grades for scholarship dollars and don't get obsessed with reaching for the brass ring. You can create a you tube video, contact coaches herself, attend camps to be seen.

Thanks for the information

Grades are a no brainer ...... I realize and understand the D1 numbers ....... I am looking for a way of reaching those colleges which may have programs that I am unaware of. (I never would have imagined some of these DIII schools having sports programs) The two college coaches I have spoken with put more weight in their camps and a handful of 16U tournaments versus a You-tube video; however, we will end up making one to be distributed to those who we do reach. The coaches words were "who has time to watch you-tube videos?"

Who has time to watch youtube videos? Coaches who are trying to win make time to turn over every rock in search of the best players. They certainly don't have time to attend every alleged showcase tournament looking for players. Clicking onto youtube in the comfort of their homes or offices and watching three-minute videos is hardly excessively time-consuming. That coach was a loser. The better question is: Do you have a video that coaches would want to watch? Do you know how to shoot it and edit it? Do you know where to put it and how to place a link to it on an email?

Go to NFCA.org and click on fastpitch community on the top tool bar. Every school in every division that has a softball program is listed with team websites. Make your own short video send it with a short letter about you and make contacts. Coaches don't spend much time on recruiting sites or watching 5 minute you tube videos. A proffessional coach (which they all are) can see in a few swings and throws if you have the basic skill level to compete.

Ok - I do understand that I can make a youtube video myself and both of my dd's can reach out to coaches and/or programs to market themselves.

The questions now is .... Has anyone here used NCSA? If so, please provide any good or bad feedback.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I was an asst. coach at a DIII school last year and we used NCSA A LOT! I was able to get email updates when a girl looked at our schools profile and look at her video from the email which was often times on my phone. I have no idea how much it costs the parents though.... We did look at youtube videos as well that were emailed to us so it just depends on how much leg work you want to do. GOOD LUCK!

Thank you coach!

It's not that I do not want to do the leg work ... it's all about having the time to do it.

I have three student athletes who would like to play at the collegiate level. Not necessariily softball. I simply want to proivde them with whatever tools possible. If groups like NCSA are worth it, I will invest in them. Sort of like the NCSA opening video ... I do not want to sit back and say "I should have done this or that" when it is too late.

Thanks again!
