Situation....16U game
2 Outs, runners on 1B and 2B... Count is Full 3-2.
Next pitch batter swings and misses, catcher drops the ball... batter turns and takes 4 steps back to dugout, then turns and starts running to first base. Catcher picks up the ball, throws to first, umpire calls the batter-runner out.
My question is this: At point does the Batter no longer have the chance to run to first base on a drop third strike?
I realize that they can't when 1B is occupied.. except with 2 Outs.
