It is apparent that this age group has developed well coming out of 10's. Possibly it may have to do with NSA and PONY's both adopting the non-modified rules for the 10U age group. There were a lot of very good plays today that typically are not seen until 2nd year 12's. Very exciting. Very proud of this age group.
I know a bit about 14-U results, but not much. I know Buckeye Heat (Allen) beat one of the Stingrays teams and the Miami Valley Vipers and lost to the Cinci Doom. And I know Buckeye Heat (Howe) tied with Miami Valley Express, beat someone and lost to someone.
Heart of Ohio Force over Stingrays (Toler) in ITB (Don't have the score)
Cincy Storm over the Cincy Doom in ITB (Don't have the score, I think 1-0)
Buckeye Heat (Allen) over MV Xpress (Don't know the score).
Ohio Classics Black get the first game "bye"
Stingrays (Marcum) defeated Phoenix
Buckeye Heat (Gianas) beats Lady Rebels 5-4
Stingrays (Cottrell) defeat the Ohio Swarm
Nightmare won 14U with win over Buckeye Heat Allen in finals. Was hoping for a Doom/Nightmare matchup that never happened.
Nightmare looked awful good - know it is only fallball, but they I counted FOUR outstanding pitchers they kept interchanging, to go with a powerful hitting lineup - top to bottom (you don't get a break with that lineup) - and solid D - good team speed.
Thanks to the Laser Silver,...who gave our 11u team a look at what it take's ,...to play the game at warp speed. All I gotta say is ,..it 's not 10U anymore baby .
Thanks Rod - we're hoping to have one of those memorable years with the Lasers Silver. They all work hard and truly belive in themselves. Looking forward to a great 2007. Keep working hard...
