Ohio fp - the next level??????????

Due to the fantastic energy and obvious passion displayed in the " Why is Cali better then OHIO thread", I believe it's absolutely clear that everyone who posted their is a fan of continually improving OH Fast Pitch and the opportunities it affords our DDs.

Ohio would explode into a NATIONAL FRONT RUNNER in less then 3 years with the development of a true ELITE organziation "TEAM OHIO" that brought many of our ELITE RESOURCES(Hitter, Bigtrain, Hillhouse, Ricky Moorehead the legend to Administrate all these personalities/resources or someone of that quality, experience, & esteem under 1 umbrella with a single focus(ON DEVELOPING ELITE PLAYERS IN OHIO's TOP RECRUITS PROVIDING THEM WITH ELITE EXPOSURE & ELITE COMPETITION NATIONALLY).

However, it would take a VILLIAGE or STATE to raise this CHILD(ie: all of OHIO) to support this new approach to how/where we progress our dd's that are serious candidates for ELITE Fast Pitch.

I BELIEVE THE OFC AS A WHOLE CAN/WILL DRIVE THE FUTURE OF OHIO FAST-PITCH AND IDEAS LIKE THIS NEED TO BE DIGESTED AND/OR EXPOUNDED ON TO CONTINUE TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY AND POTENTIAL OHIO FAST PITCH PROVIDES OUR FAMILIES.

LET'S STOP PLAYING AROUND AND BUILD THE TRANSITION PLATFORM FOR THE ELITE DDs TO REALISTICALLY BE ENGAGED,TRAINED, COMPETE AND RECRUITED AS ELITE PLAYERS. NOTHING IN OH IS ELITE AS IT IS TODAY.

Suggestion:
1. TEAM OHIO BOARD ELECTED OR SELF PROCLAIMED(Some strong personalities out there, it could be fun just watching this unfold..^_^!)

* IE: Collection of respected resources that have proven over time their commitment, focus, knowldege, training has been successful in developing ELITE PLAYERS that have been RECRUITED BY many D1 Colleges.

2. TEAM OHIO BOARD recruits & signs Coaching Staff

3. TEAM OHIO BOARD & Coaches sign ELITE TRAINERS (national & local) to be Skills Development Gurus.

4. TEAM OHIO BOARD & Coaches Leverage ELITE RELATIONSHIPS Nationally for TEAM OH Players to align with for 16u Elite & 18u Gold national exposure, recruiting, tavel......(ie: TEAM OHIO Feeds a 16u ELITE & 18U Gold organization already plugged into and respected as TOP RECRUITING org tied to 100s of D1, D2, D3 NAIA Coaches.

5. OH Travel Orgs declare their affiliation(via commitmen & fees to TEAM OH), as their ELITE program for those within their organization that have the loftiest of Goals/Commitment at their Optimum player path. Synergy of TEAM OHIO Resources/ philosophies / development / Instruction would be aligned to ensure those with the loftiest of goals aren't working in vein downstream to find out 2 years later they need to change their hitting or defensive mechanics in order for Big Ten, Pac Ten, or Atlantic Ten or St. Thomas Moore College to even look at them.

6. TEAM OHIO Board Develops in CO-OP with Ohio Travel Orgs "by-laws" on CROSS recruiting, conduct, and relations to be upheld between TEAM OHIO and Integrated Travel Organizations to ensure both TEAM OHIO and Individual Orgs Missions/Vision/Goals do NOT cause disruption or conflict to each other as to ensure success and respect and success bilaterally.

OK,......... I know. I just can't help sharing my brainstorms as they come. Tomorrow, I will read this and say..... HUH!... But positive GROWTH/CHANGE rarely happens from idolness or lack of communication , so maybe this will stimulate something with those who can make change to further MATURE OH FASTPITCH.

NICE ADDS. Have to ESPECIALLY agree with #9 and SO CC ER... Cincinnati's best are lost in the ****** black hole that produces mostly injuries, burnout, and huge investments with little return on investment(College opportunities...) when the ride is over.

Oh, I get it, more than you will ever know.

I, like many other OFC'ers, do not have an ever-blooming money tree in the backyard to go and pick money off of to feed this monstrosity of an idea.

Just what would be the purpose of this "Super" team? Answer that question and then you will then see why we would just be "Spinning our wheels."

Club Volleyball does not have a Team Ohio but they do have clubs that are elite and travel all over the country in quest of Volleyball supremecy. Here in Ohio, the volleyball team fees are $1500 and up, per year. This doesn't include the travel costs for the players and their families. This is just for association/organization fees, coaches fees, facility rental, coaches travel expenses, and tournament fees. Coaches are paid in volleyball. Volleyball people will be the first to tell you that the coaches and organizational people do not volunteer their time. Coaches will have to be non-parents and they will have to be paid. I would envision the team fee starting at $2500 plus traveling expenses.

Am I a non-believer? At this point, yes.

Come on BD, my kid pitches 78mph, runs from home to home 9.4, and hits .745 average and averages 21 homers a summer. Almost forgot, she maintains a .987 fielding average. She would be the allstar on an elite team!!!!!!!!!! LMAO

A great starting point would to be recruiting the 30 pitchers from the Queen of Diamonds North who stated that they threw 60+mph and had eight different pitches.

That's just it. IT WOULD NOT BE 1 TEAM.

Corona Angels sends 3-4 teams per age group each year to Nationals and almost every one of those teams seriously competes and MOST if NOT ALL of the kids on those teams receive serious MAJOR D1 RECRUITING Attention. Corona Angels has become a BRAND and each of those teams within it commit to the skills, training, resources to meet that BRAND but more importantly those RESOURCES are TEAMED/SHARED/INTEGRATED and not segregated amongst 500 other travel teams in California.

This is about OHIO Developing and Integrating, and Marketing a BRAND that is successful, credible, and considered D1 CERTIFIED, in which Colleges believe that each kid in that program is worth a look because of what that program is.

We have 100-200+ OH Travel Orgs all trying to become ELITE or their version of ELITE in which 99% of those will NEVER be elite due to lack of resources, commitment, relationships, KNOWLEDGE ......

OHIO has extremely rich resources that if POOLED together can/should be able to PROVIDE a much greater product holistically to DDs, Families & College Coaches. The only reason OH kids ARE NOT SCOUTED OUTSIDE OHIO, is because NATIONALLY we DO NOT have an OHIO BRAND..... although there are some extremely successful TEAM(S) out there starting to get national attention, that COULD become the OHIO BRAND if we are committed to seriously having an ELITE ORGANIZATION that is capable and dedicated our DDs not only reaching their highest potential, but receiving the Highest Recruiting Opportunities that NEED to align and not be overlooked because the OHIO BRAND is viewed 2nd or 3rd tier.

Tell that to a super studd DD which dozens exist in OH, that just can't seem to get a scholarship outside of Ohio, or OH BOY, maybe have the great honor to play for Indiana State or West Penn State sisters of the poor.

This entire concept is about OH DDs with same skill, dedication, and talent as Cali, Texas, Florida DDs, obtaining the same Schollarship and/or Educational opportunities the DDs in Cali, Texas, and Florida get simply because they all come from a higher TRUSTED / CERTIFIED / BRAND of ball.

Oh... and BTW, why shouldn't HITTER or Bigtrain, or Hillhouse or whoever the correct people are as resources required to meet this TEAM OHIO vision make some money for providing their extremely HIGH IN DEMAND expertise. Aren't they all charging DDs right now for their instruction, in which MOST of there students are an Island of talent that gets lost in the abyss.

TT as much as I appreciate your desire to move Ohio to the ranks of the left coast, this move would only be approved by 9 coaches ( If you did 3 teams) that leaves alot of other coaches and orgs that do not want to give up thier best hitter, pitcher catcher, position player to move Ohio to that level.......... until the mentality of softball in this state changes, The parents, players and coaches that would like to see it move n that direction will be vastly out numberd and in a silent minority...... and you will contuie to see what you always do......... a few teams with a few good players on each surrounded by b and rec teams, the cream will always rise........ the players and parents just have to put it upon themselves to go west or south ,theres teams that do it, they just have to find them....... hey bucket is always advertising for players to sub on teams from the west or south for exposure tournaments. sad to say, I see Ohio remaining as it is for quite a while.......... its changing for the better. but it will take time
