VII. NEW BUSINESS (OTHER)

A. Recommendation to Modify the Length of the Baseball Season Beginning in 2019 The Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association proposed that the length of the baseball season be extended for two weeks beginning with the 2019 season. The coaches believe that, with the NFHS pitchcount regulations that became effective with the 2017 season combined with the already short interscholastic baseball season in Ohio, increasing the length of the season would be the best for the health and safety of the participants.

Motion by Paul Powers, second by Scott Reeves to table action on the proposal. Motion passed 9-0.

It was noted that the Board of Directors would like to secure feedback from member school principals and superintendents before acting on the proposal
