Bumble,

I don't put a lot into scrimmage results especially since both teams were trying different things. ?It was pretty even through the first several innings with Elmwood pulling ahead in the end. ?Pitching looked strong for both teams while hitting appeared a bit rusty. ?

Hats off to Elmwood freshman Marisa Lee for holding and very good hitting team in check for all 9 innings.

Lebanon played Mason for 9 innings. ?Both teams used roster batting. ?Lebanon pitched Kaunert (senior), Tessmer (junior) and Campbell (sophomore) for three innings each and Mason used two pitchers. ?Lebanon 10 Mason 0.

I hear Coach Hamman gave all three time on the mound - Gill, Kurfis, and Haley.

Sole Prop...Thanks for the update.
Looking forward to playing AW in a couple of weeks, you are right they are a very good hitting team, as well as Elmwood.

Would Lee be the backup in the circle for Dauterman?

How did South look in the scrimmage? I know its very early and scrimmages are to build on, but I think South could
win it all this year.

Field HS played Walsh indoors for 9 innings. Final Field HS 2 Walsh 2

Field scored 1 in the first, Walsh scored 2 in the 7th and Field scored one more in the 8th.

Both sides look pretty good

Isn't Mason the team that went to the final 4 last year? I know it's pre-season, but is Lebanan really that good ? Or are the teams just playing and not showing there stuff.

Ndfan -- South should be ok this year,We have lots of experience with 8 seniors (7 of them should start) coming back and Byers on the mound,She is healthy and looking stronger than ever.Hitters seem to be doing well inside facing live pitching daily.Time will tell.most of the positions have been filled from the three seniors graduated.Central District Division 1 should be interesting this year as well as competetive.
Thomas Worthington,Both Pickeringtons,Westerville Central,Grove City,Upper Arlington,Marysville,Kilbourne,Mt.Vernon, should all be other teams to watch. I'm sure I'm missing a few more.
Good Luck to everyone and enjoy the season!
Pray for warm sunny weather

Slidin,

Biased opinion--Lebanon is pretty good this year, with depth on the mound and solid defense.

Mason has no glaring weaknesses and I think they will be competitive in the GMC. It is likely that if the game had been played with the starting nine on each side for 7 innings the score would tighten up a bit.
