... did anybody make suggestions to him so he knows what he needs to improve on?

00Mom, many of the coaches made suggestions to him - several of whom have been in the FP arena for 15+ years and all were ignored. I heard of several suggestions that were the actual actions taken at places such as Beavercreek and parts of NE Ohio in which TD's were complimented on this site with how they handled weather. At one point he just locked himself into the office and blew everyone off. Much help was offered, including offers to physically help on the fields, and most were rebuffed - many with a bad attitude. If he makes no effort - knowing he is new - that is just poor. And yes he admittedly does not read this site. All of these items were communicated to him directly and will be in follow up e-mails. These comments are not for him - but as a warning to others.

Exactly, the comments are not for him but a warning to our fastpitch friends. I will say they did well with the weather. I can understand he just took over the place and needs time and money to make it better. BUT read the posts above. Lack of communications is the big beef. He or his staff could have called the teams whose games they canceled so they didn't have to get up, get ready and drive to the fields to be sent home. NO EXCUSE. He could have put it on the rain line so when they called in they did not get the all games are on with a so and so delay. Think of all the people involved. 10, 11 or 12 families per team with many teams driving maybe an hour. Think of the gas. Think of what one man did to the ozone. Don't tell Al Gore about this, he will make a documentary about it. Pastime has a who cares about you attitude and what business can survive treating their customers that way?

I so agree with the above Must. They worked really hard getting the fields ready but what good does it do for the teams who show up to play but were cancelled without ANY notification to the coaches. That is not something that needs to be "learned" because it's his first year. That is just common sense to any individual in any situation!!! It is must pure lack of respect.

He not only did it Saturday to the 10U teams but turned around and did the exact same thing Sunday morning to other age divisions.

I really hate feeling this way. Pastime was the first park I had been to when my oldest started playing travel ball. It was the first tourney she ever played in years ago. It's a shame to see what the park has turned into.
