Fastpitchfan,
I totally agree with others that have said if it works for your daughter and you are happy that is the important thing. ?It is not may way and I disagree with it, but that is just my opinion and everyone is different. ?What age is your daughter and the other students if you don't mind telling me. ?Just curious as to how many girls continue with pitching and softball after a couple of years. ?Anyway, what works for your dd is the most important so that is great. ?
I just happen to believe that the motivation and passionate desire from the student, is the most important aspect of playing the game, or in life and I disagree with the drill sergeant approach. ?As my quote states and one of the most respected coaches of all time said, ?I feel, it takes the students desire, and commitment from the inside out, not someone driving from the outside in. ?
Once again, I sincerely mean I wish you and your dd the very best and if it works for you guys that is what is important, but for me, my dd and my students, I would never be this way amd refuse to coach with another adult who feels this way. ?That is just my way and as I have said we all different with different views and ideas, so whatever works, is great. ?
Thank you and have a great day. ?
Just some thoughts from a coach that thinks it is not about me, but about the girls being all they can ?and want to be. ?Drill sergeant: no thanks, ?not for me or my style, been there - done that. ? ?
