Grumpy if your moving into another district other then your own she would sit out a year (i believe) if she is outside your district and moves back then she can play. We really have to listen to our DD's. I know my feelings run deeper then hers so we(parents) are taking the grin and bear it approach, She just want to play.

You don't have to sit out if you actually move to the new district.

I believe that is correct...we just had a girl move in from New York and was put on the JV team.......so I don't think they do have to sit out a year.

You daughter, when looking at the bigger picture, will learn many valuble lessons from sticking with the team. Not easy by any means. I have very high respect for a young adult that makes the decission to see a commitment through. It speaks alot about their integrity, moral character, and ability to deal with adverse situations.

Not a choice any of us would want to make.

Best of luck.

would you stick with a coach that tells you and public that you don't have a future on this team except to be a dh or benchwarmer. what do you learn? sometimes you need to move on and chalk it up as a failed event.

Yes, I would stick it through the season. Why, my dad was a well known football coach in IL and he taught me to never quit. If you do, that person wanting you to give up has just won a mental battle. As hard as it is, and yes I have dealt with this, you get through it and become stronger.

I wish all parents were as willing to be supportive of your daughter as you are. Again, I do not eveny your position.
