I have not been to the world series, but have been to a couple of other SEAA events in Pigeon Forge and had a very nice time. Tournament was well run. We always went a day early to go to Dollywood (smaller version of Kings Island). There are plenty of other things to do there for the kids. Good restaurants and lots of shopping as well. It's a good setting overall for a tournament. You probably won't go back to the hotel much when your not playing.

Oldest daughter played it in a few years ago in 16U. They run a nice tournament, treat the girls well and the competition is good. Fewer entries than at the bigger sanctioning bodies but wasnt a problem. Plenty of things to do in between games for parents and girls. Suggestion is to rent a cabin as it is more economical and better than hotels. Our team put all of the girls in two giant cabins for the week (with parents). Worked great. Put the parents you don't like in the other cabin lol.

Got an email from Jim and Freddie (seaa email news letter) that the opening ceremonies has been moved to the Pigeon Forge High School. Ive been in their gym before and it does have plenty of room.
That has been the biggest complaint down there was for the ceremonies and being cramped together. They have heard all the negatives about that and have moved it once again.
