I like this as an option for those teams that may not want to travel all the way to Florida for a World Series-quality event. Pigeon Forge would be a fun destination. Looking at it from the 16U division though, I would hesistate to spend 6 days ouyt of town when there are only 12 teams in our division. Granted, all the Ohio teams in it I have heard of, and they are all extremelly good teams... but 6 days? I'd have to really think hard on it.

This WS is OK for the younger teams but any 14U, or 16U teams that are serious should look elsewhere.

I would have loved to take our team to this World Series this summer, we just didn't really know about this tourney until a couple weeks ago. Maybe next year, but I'd like to see more teams registered for it in the future. The Ohio teams I see registered for it are all quality teams as far as I've seen.

Our team went down last July and the teams down there were OK. We were in the 14U bracket and there were 2 or 3 very solid teams and the rest were all capable of beating eachother, but more then likely not the top 3 teams. Overall it was a nice experience. Especially the off the field activities. If the off the field activities are important to you then you will love this tournament. If competition is the most important thing then it may not be 100% what you are looking for. If my memory is correct we did not have to qualify for this tournament last year, just pay our money and go.

Some local team results were HH Roadwarriors finished 4th, Valley Storm 6th, seen the Southern Fury not sure how they did. Seen Pat early in the week and they had just beat someone but never seen him after that.

Roadwarriors had a great time, Played very good through the week and had a couple of errors on Saturday and Sunday that cost us dearly but overall couldn't be prouder of the girls and am looking forward to next year 16u season.
