Miami Valley Xpress (Lowry) went 6-0 for the weekend. Nice job ladies. Way to get the bats working as a team!!

16u games were played at the Rec Center and the fields were in very good shape all weekend (brick dust). We had some rain but when the rain stopped, play resumed. This was a well run event from a spectator's perspective. With the drop dead rule and the 1hr 25min time limits, the games were kept on schedule all weekend. The only disappointment was that the number of college coaches was very limited. Not much of a college exposure event. (I assume the coaches spent their weekend at Findlay for the ASA state tourney) Overall, this was a nice event.

From looking at other threads, sounds like we were some of the lucky ones to get our games in this weekend.

As far as I know it finished...some "B" teams were lucky enough to get all 6 in, think in the "A" most got 4 or 5....

I know there may be a slight difference in talent, but never would have thought a MVX at any age or level would play "B." Sorry if you take that the wrong way, but "B" is for Rec/All-Star teams and will not push a team, as indicated by going 6-0.

I am confused with MVE in the "B" bracket. On usssa.com they are listed as an "A" team. http://www.usssa.com/sports/Team1.asp?Sport=16

There are a large number of "B" sanctioned teams (both North and South). I was surprised.

Many of the "A" bracket teams did not play all 6 of their games due to weather. We haven't heard the final outcome. The "A" bracket was not completed. I am not sure if the "B" bracket was completed, although several of the teams did play all 6 games.
