Wondering why I saw some 14u ladies in this tourney...I've heard of playing up but playing down knowing that they are not checking because it's more of a friendly tourney just isn't cool...the 14s play next weekend and don't know why they didn't enter...JMHO!!!

Maybe you've seen them play up. But they are 12u.

Valley Storm 12U went 2-1 this weekend. 1st game was pitched at 43' and not known until after the game. Great job ladies !

Hmmmm......Pick up players are ok if the correct age. Just sayin.......LOL

Static had no pick up players on Saturday and 1 on Sunday that is a 2000 birth year. They did play up in the Magic Bloodfest tournament and played the 14U Valley Storm team twice, with no pick up players, so maybe that's the confusion. The Static-Morris 2013 12U roster is registered on the USSSA website.

Not speaking of static 00...I'm absolutely positive that one team had 4 or 5 '99 birth year ladies...my dd played with them as a second year 10u a few years back...would never call them out by name but they know who they are...we did play static 00 at bloodfest..good team and they should have a great season...we were short handed that day but they still handed us our lunch...I will always give credit where credit is due

I thought something looked a lot different, I watched all these teams in the fall and one team got a lot better.

me personally, I wouldn't mind it if a team had to pick up players but make it known. Then, at least you get the facts out and your team gets good in work in "sorta" playing up, a win-win IMO. With filling indoor rosters being hard to do with "winter" conflicts like bball, vball, swimming, and whatever it seems unavoidable for some teams. Just be open and I'd bet many wouldn't even care. Sorry to hear that this type of stuff may have occurred when in many ways could have been avoided and the experience all for the better.

We were there subbing with Heat and can tell you that both the Static and Heat had only '00 birth dates. Congrats to the Static on the wins. They are a talented team and should represent SW Ohio well this summer.

Look for great things out of the Morris Static team. I got to know his team well the past 2-3 years, Scott is one of the better up and coming younger coaches there is right now.

12U Roadwarriors are 00 and 01 birthdates, definitely wasn't us we went 0-3 but our girls learned alot and finished with a great 3rd game against OFC 4-3.

My DD subbed for Doom 01 and playing for or against them over the last 2 yrs I know they are a 01 team.
