HATTISEBURG, Miss. - Vanguard took down College of Idaho Wednesday to clinch the Opening Round of the NAIA National Tournament. After winning the Hattisburg Bracket, the Lions advance to the World Series for the first time since 2007 and for the fourth time in program history. The Lions defeated the Yotes yesterday to get ahead 1-0, and sealed it off with a 5-1 win. VU is 46-11 overall for the 2019 campaign.
