[Softball] Lions Take Two From Milligan, Sober Goes the Distance

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. – The Bryan Softball team continued their dominance in Appalachian Athletic Conference play this week when they traveled to Milligan College (Tenn.) and made easy work of the Buffaloes in a doubleheader. The Lions feasted for an overwhelming 15-1 victory in game one before blanking the Buffaloes in game two 2-0, improving to 12-7 overall and a spotless 6-0 in AAC action. The pair of losses dealt to Milligan lowered their overall record to 5-5 and conference record to 4-4. Highlighting Bryan's impressive outing was a game one where Maryah Sober (SO/Sweetwater, Tenn.), Addy Keylon (FR/Chattanooga, Tenn. ), Hannah O'Shields (SR/LaFayette, Ga. ), Brooke Belflower (FR/Tunnel Hill, Ga. ), and Stephanie Blevins (FR/Soddy Daisy, Tenn.) all turned in a multi-hit performance with two connections apiece. Sober, sophomore third baseman from Sweetwater, Tennessee, had herself a game, collecting a game-high five runs batted in, one run scored, and recorded her first career homerun. Sober is hitting a blistering .395 while owning a .658 slugging percentage this season.
