Now THIS is why threads exist. You start out with a stud, you get a lot of opinions, you trade :chest thumping, scoldings, musings, followed by the smart aleck comments, then you finally end up with a Bear. Addicting members since 1994? You betcha!
Tony ... good question about Bear ... I was thinking recently that I haven't seen any activity from him for awhile and it looks like his last post was 3 months ago! In hibernation?? Seriously though, hope all is well with him ...
Saw her pitch at the Notre Dame clinics this past weekend. I dont usually jump on these threads, but I'll say that I was impressed with not only her speed, but her control of her other pitches as well. Who ever has helped her develop ( usually the guy on the bucket, although most pitching coaches would disagree with me on that)has done a great job with her. I look foward to seeing her and her team, and coaches on the field this summer.
Paxson is a complete player... pitches very well, runs like a deer, and is a absolute stud at the plate. If i was a betting man i would say she will be highly recruited. I would totally agree with that assessment. I never stated that this girl could not play. She is probably d. 1 bound like many other girls on the team. The purple team is the goal for many teams.
Well the majority of this purple team, including both of the talented pitchers, and the head Coachs kid will be with the Beverly Bandits next year...along with a pitcher from the Lasers 98 team, that teams head coaches kid and numerous others from the other Lasers teams. Probably the best move for both of the pitchers from the Lasers Purple
I am not discrediting what the Bandits have to offer but why don't they make an Ohio branch with all the kids from Ohio playing with them? Or someone create something like it in Ohio under their guidance?

If you play for the Bandits, you will get accepted into the elite showcases (this is no easy feat) and you will be paired up against great competition and play on the "right" fields to be seen by colleges. The Bandits are NOT afraid to travel the country throughout the year.
Bill Conroy networks with the best of them, and he is friends with the right tournament directors and sits on the board of PGF. Softball, like many things in life, is a good ole boys network.
