man this entire thread is a train wreck. 7k views on a 13-14y thread titled " stud pitcher" .... maybe this site isnt dead , reminds of the good ol days .. lol MD

It's like the movie Groundhog Day....same things happen over and over again, year after year.

Paxson is a complete player... pitches very well, runs like a deer, and is a absolute stud at the plate. If i was a betting man i would say she will be highly recruited. I would totally agree with that assessment. I never stated that this girl could not play. She is probably d. 1 bound like many other girls on the team. The purple team is the goal for many teams.

Problem is Ryenrick these kids have access to these threads just like anyone else, and I know my kid would be upset to see all the wanna be Chris Bermans out there who have something to say about everyone else's kids, because they are jealous that people are not talking about their kids.

Riley if you are reading these ridiculous threads than know one thing that jealousy is the sincerest form of flattery and these people only post this garbage because they are jealous of what you have accomplished

Ryenrick did edit his post and more or less apologize ... at least one other made inappropriate comments as well but based on other posts they have made on here, I'm not holding my breath for them to do the same ... I'm asking Bear to shut this one down ...

Yes BINGO. It is time to have Bear put this to rest. If you can't name organizations, then posters should definitely not be able to name 13-14 year old girls.

for those who have been on OFC for a number of years, these same kind of things get started. One reason that some people never post on here. Others will hi-jack the thread, and take it a different direction. Another reason is that most of these player or team evaluation or comparison topics normally turn ugly. Nasty comments get made.

I think though that it just keeps getting worse and worse. It's like the parents on the news who have gotten into fist fights at kids games.

I know of at least three people that have given up on this sigth because of all the negativity that gets thrown out.

five years from now, there will be another thread about some stud pitcher throwing 70+, playing on a Laser team and it will start all over again.......

it's one thing to talk amongst ourselves about who we think is the top pitcher, catcher, ss, hitter whatever and make comparisons of players, teams etc....most of us are guilty of that. That happens at all levels : rec, HS, colleges recruiting, softball and every sport etc. and don't think the girls don't know about it because they do, they are not dumb. They know who gets the start in the tough games. They hear the chatter from their parents and teammates parents. I just think its a whole different animal to post something online on a public forum and compare a 13 year old "by name" to her teammate. The girls that play this sport deserve more respect than that!

I know G3 and I know his intentions were good to start this thread.I have to believe their is truth to pitchers parents about be a little crazy. Just think about the anxiety of knowing the game could be won or lost evertime your DD takes the circle"better have thick skin and a bottle of Malox. G3's DD has quite an impressive resume herself, He is a fan of this game just like myself .We as parents and coaches should have the respect of these young athletes as if they were our kid .I like to ck out games when these players are at a tourneys that we may be at in, fact I would like to watch some of this sports great hitters and fielders ..we dont have to call out names we can talk about a team they play for and lets keep it positive. Also DD had a chance to play against purple last year about 4 times and once this year .A CLASS ACT, from the coach's,players and the parents. alot of those kids have made their way to our dug-out to talk and cheer for our girls My DD thinks that those girls our cool! Whats that say about a team that beats you 5 times! I can speak for DD and myself when I say :"thats what its all about, competing on the field building friendships and having fun"!

Im thinking it will be next year, in 2 months there will be a post about how some frosh was wronged by the varsity coach because she was left on JV, 2 months after that there will be a big post on how a TD handled a rain delay and a player poaching thread,a few weeks later there will be a big thread on how a coach from another organization came to somebodies tryouts and was talking to players.... Then there will be a nice break... Then the teams looking for 4-6 players posts will start... And the circle of OFC life will begin again lol.

Don't get Tadd fired up! He may seem calm and cool but if you mess with one of his cubs you will wish you didn't poke the bear! ;&

If you like OFC this way, then we should leave it be.....BUT WHAT IF.....what if people like you, Sammy, Punchout, and a few other with experience (meaning DD's that play or have played college ball and so forth) come up with an online test that OFC'ers have to take and pass in order to post on this site. Just think of the intellectual conversations we could have on this site. We would probably eliminate 85% of the posters but so what, they don't give anything to the conversation anyway. Just food for thought. I'll bet as a player that I could come up with a test just for parents.......could be fun......:)

Wow. You are quite the elitist little girl, aren't you? Thank God you have no input into the running of this board.

What fun would that be slapforhits? Half the fun is reading some of the stuff us "regular" people come up with in here. Not all of us can be the best player to ever walk the planet. Told you I could stir the pot girl. Lol

You must be quite the softball legend. Nothing like passing judgement on a bunch of "minions" on an online softball forum. Perhaps if someone passed your test you would not post on here anymore, but then what would we do without your expertise?? Lol
