I heard Lasers Purple had a 2 run lead going into the 7th inning and lost 9-7. Passion can def hit the ball but Purple has some hitters as well. My source said it was a heck of a game with several balls hit well.

Oh, no doubt, Lasers Purple is a very good team. I only mentioned Passion's hitting to say that there is no shame in a pitcher giving up some runs to that team.

First off thanks coach tom and others for keeping us posted on these games and players
these are the topics I really enjoy reading on OFC ... I seem to get frustrated with OFC when there are more posts
about who has the best walking taco and what team has best color uniforms .... getting people to talk about players and teams or even just posting scores has been like pulling teeth and this weekend was not the case lots of input on kids and teams an people went out of there way to update us on scores an who is playing who ! I hope we have more chatter about up and comming kids and teams and getting up to date scores ....
Passion vs lasers purple ...... was told mich.kid (the real deal ) pitch that game ..... wood like to have been there to watch the game but heard she got hit pretty good ... passion may be a team that has flown under the radar and be a big hitting crew but lasers is bye far the best hitting 99 team i have seen and as i have stated im not over impressed with purples pitching (good ) yes... national attention as some hear stated .... not so sure .... when i heard mich kid was at purple and was playing this past weekend i got real interested ..... cause in my opinion kids like that dont come around very often .... throwing 64 + and giving up 9 runs ??????? well its still jan and its indoor .... i wish all the teams and kids good luck .....

I believe when you are throwing 64+ at age 13 or 14, you will get attention from major college. Although she may have given up 9 runs this will not hurt her. Coaches will look to see if she has the work ethic to continue her improvement.

I want to take down this post due to the fact it could be interpreted negative. I have great respect for the laser purple program. I have great respect for everyone involved in the program. I am a big fan of their ace pitcher and pitching staff.

I worked with her 1 on 1 last year not on her pitching lol, but another aspect she wanted to improve on. I was struck by her coach ability and the respect she showed me while I was working with her. Fantastic kid, strong family which includes her aunt a lawyer and Former college pitcher... So she has some good DNA as well lol

Both are solid in my opinion. Always nice to have a set of aces to share the load. Strong pitchers want to play with other strong pitchers.
Lots of interesting conversation in this thread. We are talking about 13-14 year old girls. One game doesn't make a career, and players are improving and changing all the time -- hitters and pitchers alike. I have lots of respect for Lasers Purple, and I'm looking forward to (hopefully) playing them again this summer. The 13U class is a fun, talented group.

Paxson is a complete player... pitches very well, runs like a deer, and is a absolute stud at the plate. If i was a betting man i would say she will be highly recruited. I don't believe michigan girl gave up all 9 runs, she was pulled earlier in the game i was told.

Unfortunately this is the world we live in now. Kids are being exposed for excelling in sports at younger and younger ages by parents and coaches. What can you? There is no place for negative opinions and comments about young kids, especially on these public forums. But then again all sports fans wanna hear about that "stud" athlete, no matter what sport he/she excels in.
