Tess Sito is the REAL DEAL!

Sito is from our area (Elyria) so the local papers here follow her. This girl appears to be someone really special. The article went over her college debut over the weekend. She played 5 games over the weekend, went 10-18 at the plate with 4 home runs, 2 doubles, scored 10 runs, had 10 rbi's, 6 stolen bases, and 1.33 slugging %. She went 4-5 against #22 Tennessee with 2 home runs, a double, and 2 rbi singles, scored 4 runs and had a total of 4 rbi's. Not to metion she won her game from the mound (can't remember who she pitched against though). Man did Cleveland State get a steal when they recruited her!

National Championship game
Arizona vs Tess Sito :D

She beat Weaver State 11-6. She went 3-3 in that game with 2 home runs. She was by far the best player in Ohio last year in HS and in the Summer. She could have probably played for just about any college in the nation.

I wonder if she will stay all 4 with Cleveland State? It's been a trend over the past couple of years especially in football to transfer to a school with a better fit.

Transfer, sit and lose a year of elgibility, not a good choice. I would say she is at CSU because that's where she wants to be. No second guessing now.

I have to agree. A girl with her talent could have went anywhere. She stayed home for a reason. I saw her at the state championship game last year and man, that girl can play.

I watched her play at Brookside park in Ashland. Elyria ,Grove City, Greenville & many others. Many good pitchers and teams and Yes she was good. Her team I think lost, but she gave it all she had.

Best High school Hitter I had seen. Even with that she does have a weak spot that our pitchers capitalized on in the last game against us, in which she didn't do damage hitting, but pitching yeow.....

If she transfered outside of the Horizon league, she would not have to sit out a year.

Those that were there know where it is. Even our #2 pitcher got her after a long foul fest.... I think she only had a bunt that game.

. They have her playing SS. No question she is a great talent. Still a head scratcher her being at CSU.
She gave up @ 7 hits, 4 earned runs and 4K`s vs Weber St.

Softball is not a sport that requires you to sit out a year if you transfer. Some conferences make you sit if you transfer to another school in the conference. I believe S***er and Hockey may be the only women's sports that make you sit a year. Not sure about volleyball.

Do tell... where's that "weak spot"?

Let's have some fun. I do not know the girl and never got to watch her play. However, it sounds like an absolute masher. I think her weak spot is up and in, where few fastpitch pitchers and coaches dare to pitch.

Even utilized it in the summer with same results... But if you miss, you'd better find a new ball.... :)

Say what? Why is that?
College is not like high school. one doesnt sit (unless they are not given a release ,which is rare) Bodeker transfered to Ohio St from Akron and did not sit out a year. Wendy Allen from Ohio State, All American and Big Ten Player of the Year transferred to Arizona and did not sit out a year.

Softball must be different, from say Football, becasue to transfer, without going up a Div, players are required to sit a year before they can play again.. I do not know all the details of this, but I do know in some cases NCAA will not allow you to transfer to Sam Div without this penalty. Good topic here, maybe someone can find the exact rules for softball..

I already posted the exact rules for college softball and transferring. To not sit, you must transfer out of your conference, and you must get a release from the school(coach). It is very rare that a college softball coach will not give an unhappy player a release.

Up & in in college BETTER be close to chin music, or it'll be hit 200+ feet! DD learned her lesson freshman year, and now knows exactly where it has to be. If your kid is gonna pitch college ball, being afraid to throw pitches will get you bench time. Better learn to throw them without fear.
