IMO, Ohio can compete with any other, if our top talent is combined. My dd has attended several out of state camps the last 3 years, 8 total (she would like to attend a school in the south). 6 of those coaches were really interested in what tournaments she would play in. What I mean by interested; NSA was a no-no, Uncle Bucks local ASA Invitational in your backyard a no-no, out of state nationally known showcases a yes, ASA Nat'ls a yes. These coaches wanted to know that she could compete at a high level with the best across the country. That being said, if you desire to stay in state, or somewhat local for school, there is no need to gain this exposure.
BTW, this isn't to insult anyone or Stingrays tournament, but none these coaches had heard of the Stingrays Tournament. IMO, the biggest in Ohio.
