Way too many kids per station and to much standing around. This is our 14'th college camp and they need to cut off the applications at something they can manage. 13 in my dd station and most camps cut it a 4 or 3. Yes those that were instructors did ok, but if kids are standing around 80% of the time, that is not good.

When my daughter's went to this clinic the instructor's certainly knew what they were talking about but way too many kids for any constructive teaching and learning! Unfortunately, the more kids sign up the more money they make.

Great camp (my dd's only 12, so she went for the experience). DD did the pitching and hitting and after 2 1/2 hours for each session, she was wiped. She did learn a couple new strengthening techniques for pitching (i.e. the rice bucket).

I can understand that if you are a high school kid trying to get recruited, that 12-14 kids per group is large....i'm guessing that this might be one of those situations where only the standouts, standout. To credit OSU, there sure were alot of assistants, visting coaches, and student athletes running and assisting the entire process. And the Coaches did stick around to field questions and talk to the girls and parents (during each intermission).

AND- the spirit wear was out in full force
