Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

Bunch of games in Lebanon tonight. Second Annual North vs. South Shootout. Should be a lot of fun. The are playing at Colonial Park East in Lebanon. I believe that Lebanon is playing Ross at either 5:00 or 9:00. Lots of quality teams from the area coming to play.

If the rain holds off...raining here now but hopefully no more will come and we should be good to go!

I read the article in the DDN about Jess, her parents did a good job, she gave a lot of credit to her catcher, classy kid.

Thanks Centerville. It was an in prompt to interview. We had no idea that they were coming just to interview Jess. It was deffiniantly something we will hold on to for the rest of are life. A lot of people helped jess get to where she is now. We have been on local travel teams and mostly local tournaments till this past year. She played Little League till she was 12 years old thats almost un heard of now. Everyone thanks that if you dont play high level travel ball that you cant really be that good. Well we are trying to prove that wrong. I was at the underclass all star game last year and the players from the southwest were good compittion for every team there. They think the compittion up north of us is much better and gives them the advantages. Are softball down here is pretty darn good I think. Just look at some of are teams in travel ball Cincy doom, cincy storm, OFC Heat, ohio wave, Miami vally Express, ohio hawks. We are contenuing to grow.

Tough day for the Elks, some GWOC teams would have run the score up to 27 rather than switch out and get their other players time on the field.

Tough loss of course, hate to lose, but class act Thunder....

Northmont moves to 14-2 on the year with a double header sweep of Valley View winning 1-0 and 6-3.

Jess Clutter won both games, moving her record to 14-1. The first game was a complete game shutout, and won the second game with two innings of relief for starter Jordan Spargo.

Kayla Woodard came up with several big hits today, and junior Genna Stoffel bombed her first homer in the second game.

Watched the 2nd game hoping to see someone quiet the Thunder...VV gave them a good game with it going back and forth....ought to be interesting to see how things shake out in the next 3 weeks for GWOC but I think I will need to readdress my predictions from March!!!

I think it is still a wide open race. Wayne seems to be hitting the ball now, and there are no off nights in the Cental it seems. The Bolts are hot right now, but there is still a lot of ball to be played.
I love softball season....there are some girls that can flat out play ball.

Butler splits at Gahanna

Game 1
Butler 5
Bellevue 2

Game 2
Sandusky 3
Butler 2

This was the third game this week that was decided by one run in the last inning. This is a young group that is gaining experience. (5 sophomores and a freshman) Hopefully they will learn how to finish soon. They had a tough week playing Fairmont, Lebanon, Piqua, and Centerville before going to Gahanna.
