Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

In the Central, I think Wayne has to be the pre-season favorite, followed by Northmont, Centerville, Beavercreek, Fairmont, and Springfield. I think the top 3 could easily change places, and I think the Beavers might surprise. Fairmont seems to have lost a lot of players with some pretty impressive stats. It will be interesting to see what they have coming up from JV. Poor Cici DeBartolo is one of the best pitchers in the GWOC but has little help up in Springfield.

Wayne just returns way too many talented players from last year, while Northmont looks to fill holes left by 4 senior starters at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and RF.
Centerviile returns plenty of talent, including Megan Pearson, who is heading to Fayetteville, Arkansas to play for the Razerbacks next year.
Beavercreek also returns a lot of young players including sophomore pitcher Elizabeth Vansant. She is good enough to keep them competitive with anyone in the league.

It should be interesting. Looking forward to it.

Centerville, really?! Seriously, our outfielders will be sharing a glove...but I will agree, having 2 girls committed to D1 schools, Pearson and Chander S. to BGSU, along with 2 other seniors, Patricia S. and Anna J. who just came back from playing in Europe definitely puts us on the radar....if it is even a small, distant blip!! ;)

I think your trying to blow some smoke on this topic. I have seen some of the girls this fall and they will be a tough out for any pitcher. Centerville will be right there in the Central. They are not going to sneak up on anyone.:)

WOW Funky you are lost when it comes to the central i'm pretty sure Wayne has won back to back and return 8 starter and a pitcher that will battle with any one and yes that's my dd.
Way to tell the pitcher's from c-ville and b-creek there only slightly above average as hard as they work to get better and you open your month like that.

f-mont coaching staff your no good according to monkey.

For the girls and teams that funky monkey insulted i hope you have a great season and enjoy your High School experience.

John let him talk his smack. Everyone knows what your dd can do, No one in their right mind underestimates Wayne. The ones that do are the ones out early in the playoffs.
What would be fantastic is if he were to post what HS his dd played for........ Then his response becomes that much more personal and up close. Lets see if there is substance behind the font.

I am hoping he/she is not a Northmont parent. If so, they are new to the program because everyone I know that was involved last year knows what Wayne, Centerville, and the rest of the Central is made of.

You have seen my opinions.

And honestly, this is the exact reason I really don't like opinion posts on who is going to win this or that. If I ever post, as bad as I would want my kid's team to win, and even if they were a clear cut favorite, I do not think it is a good idea to post it for material to be used by another team.

I do think that is what this is a case of. I feel this person is a Wayne poster or Centerville poster trying to fire up his troops against Northmont. I have seen similar situations on Yappi. I hope that is the case, and if you are a Northmont poster, Funky Monkey, try giving it a rest. We haven't even had a scrimmage yet and we lost a lot of girls last year.:confused:

Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

Wow Funky !!!! You certainly live up to your name. I have the privilege to coach Elizabeth VanSant in travel ball, and for you to put her at slightly above average shows that your knowledge is slim to none. And Kat Hoft will go D2 or above easily. As for Wayne ( Nicole Chesley) has more than a proven track record. Remember this post for reference when these three pitchers ring you up this year. Good luck to all !! Have a great year.
Northmont will run away with the Central. Best pitcher by a mile and the team is very well coached. Wayne has some nice players but not a shut down pitcher. Centerville has the two players heading to D1 but its way to easy to avoid them in the line-up. Pitching is good for Centerville but not great. Beavercreek will probably win a few that they shouldn't this year just like always but like Centerville the pitching is slightly above average at best with the van sant girl and they do not have the horses to run with the better teams in the GWOC. Fairmont will beat up on the weaker GWOC teams and pad the stats like always but in the end when they have to play a decent team in the playoffs they will once again come up short. Unfortunately for them they are stuck with a coaching staff that just can't win big games. As for Springfield they will surprise people this year. They have decent talent and the Debartalo girl is a nice pitcher. Needs more movement on her pitches because she definately throws hard enough. Too often she got hit hard late in games last year.

Yup you are correct Fairborn went 1 and barbecue last season in the tournament. Everyone but me seemed surprised at the result. No excuses and nothing to hide. Pi$$ poor decision making by players and coaches alike.

Stating that Northmont would run away with the central.......... against a 2 time central champ..... to make that claim youve already looked past Wayne. Thats your opinion and your welcome to it. Its an open forum.

As far as looking at the South........... It should be an interesting post to say the least.

No, it is not the Clutter family. I know the name Nick posts under and it is not him. Really not his way to put down other players on other teams. Dad is one of the most complimentary people I know and thinks highly of Elizabeth Van Sant, as well as other pitchers in the GWOC. I know they are not the ones saying this stuff. It is definately not their style. I know of three Northmont posters on here, Myself, Northmontthunder, and fldjunky and we all have no idea who this person is, and the three of us know everyone around here.

Funky, let us know where you are from. We are all curious.

Good bulletin board material at best......on any given day a pitcher can shut out a team.....doing it twice and maybe even three times will be what it takes to finish high in GWOC.......Won't be long and it will be time to walk the walk ....forget about all the talk.......

No harm intended, I know the family as well good people good kid. Your right, cant wait to see who the funny monkey is!! This thread every year seems to go wayyy off the topic and some poster starts to post things they just dont know much about. Let the girls play and the parents watch, times to short to argue over whos better and who not. Good Luck to all Teams even to include the funny monkeys team, if he really has one..

Defiantly not NMT (Clutter,s) style........ in the 4 years we have faced his dd he has been a class act. he is proud of his dd and has every right to be. She will be one of in not the Dominant Hurler in the GWOC.

But I agree with you I would like to know what team Funky Monkey supports.

Hate to say it but looks like he (she) knows an awful lot about the Hawks.... Way too pre-season biased IMO b/c anything can happen; any unknown JV's can pop up and produce; any female can have a hormonal off-day. I am just very enthusiastic about the entire GWOC and how athletically competitive it has become, which just makes for good softball. Bottom line - it's out of our hands....;)
