Re: To Quiet in the GWOC
In the Central, I think Wayne has to be the pre-season favorite, followed by Northmont, Centerville, Beavercreek, Fairmont, and Springfield. I think the top 3 could easily change places, and I think the Beavers might surprise. Fairmont seems to have lost a lot of players with some pretty impressive stats. It will be interesting to see what they have coming up from JV. Poor Cici DeBartolo is one of the best pitchers in the GWOC but has little help up in Springfield.
Wayne just returns way too many talented players from last year, while Northmont looks to fill holes left by 4 senior starters at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and RF.
Centerviile returns plenty of talent, including Megan Pearson, who is heading to Fayetteville, Arkansas to play for the Razerbacks next year.
Beavercreek also returns a lot of young players including sophomore pitcher Elizabeth Vansant. She is good enough to keep them competitive with anyone in the league.
It should be interesting. Looking forward to it.
