Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

Don't know names, but the starting pitcher, catcher and left fielder (red hair) all impressed me last season. Red hair can hit and track a ball. Very impressive.
I know they lose some major players from graduation, Sierra Breeze should be pitching for varsity without a doubt, can't think off the top of my head who else was playing JV last year....

And Anderson...she was GWOC hitting leader I believe last year...and Mulkey.....I didn't know Hannah graduated, I thought she was the same age as my Senior...been playing with a Klink for years...

Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

We are really looking forward to this year....always interesting to see how the predictions hold up......our last year then gonna watch Sara Marrs and Erica together for the next four years in West Virginia.......the really neat thing about this year is that we get to hang with all the friends we have met throughout the years one more time....so neat to talk to people in school ball who we have met in summer ball ...and this year will be bittersweet.....as next year we will have to move to the 23's if we want to play any ASA ball so in all liklihood the last hurrah.........who knows maybe Duncan, Fains, some of the other locals and our two can make some noise at 23 together! Not making predictions this year.....gonna sit back and enjoy....so much talent in GWOC this year really is anybodies that works hard and wants it....this year I believe there will be more parity than ever before.

That will be fun to discuss when the time arrives. Im not sure about britts future in TB after her freshman year in college. Almost everyone I speak to the kids are so burnt out they realy dont want a demanding schedule thru the summer so 23u just might be the ticket as they only play 4 or 5 thru the summer.

I agree with you on the predictions. There are 2 or 3 pitchers in the GWOC this season I would call dominant. The field of play is going to be pretty equal with alot of younger pitchers, older hitters and the mound being moved back. It will be a larger offensive season in my opinion. See yall on the field in about a month. We have our first scrimmage against Centerville. Will definatly be a fun season.

left you a PM

Not touching this one with a ten foot foul pole. He is a Hawks coach and also reads the OFC postings....

Agreed. Really think M'burg will have a fine season. A lot of returning Juniors make the team strong.

Tim - What do you have as the date for that scrimmage? I am uploading our schedule to the website and Fairborn isn't on our schedule, regular or scrimmage....?

Did this weekend **** or what?! Saw your first game, my DD isn't the only one to walk Britt!!! some nice hitting though by you guys...

Man I cant begin to tell you how bad this weekend was. I cant figure out how you get the 2nd seed and the worst time.. 3am?........ lol, my body dosent function at that that time.

That game since I posted last has been changed. Talked to the coach and the game is against Carlisle not you guys. You are correct your not on our schedule at all this season, hopefully we will see you in the post season.

As far as Britt walking it is what it is. Scott was true to his word and he went at her I take my hat off to him for that. The guy is a class act. A sandbagger but a class act lol.

Indy was fun at 12 and 13 it is a strain on the body at our age now. our kids in our last game were flat out of gas. I half expected to see the majority of the team asleep at their positions or in the dug out.

I cant say for sure you never know what next season holds but im thinking Ft Wayne is a better option for indoor play for us. Indy is closer but d*** I cant take those game times.

We started at 7am Saturday, so being #2 in our pool too meant only an 8pm game...DD threw 222 pitches in 14 hours....and then went swimming and carried on....that energy left me years ago!!

Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

Well here goes (subject to change...many times)
CENTRAL.......NORTH..................SOUTH
Wayne...........Greenville...............Lebanon
Northmont......Piqua.....................Fairborn
Fairmont.........Butler...................West Carrollton
Centerville......Troy.....................Miamisburg
Beavercreek....Sidney.................. Springboro
Springfield......Trotwood-Madison...Xenia

Central - Wayne still looks tough and Kris always has the Bolts ready.I still think Centerville just may leap over Beaver and Fairmont, we will see.

North - Greenville just reloads, Piqua is young but experienced. Troy may struggle under a new coach. What the heck, just for fun let's have Trotwood give Sidney a run for their money...just for fun...new coach be enough??? Not sure.

South - Brian seems to have Lebanon ready again, Fairborn seems to be in line to score some runs, not sure with WC I may be rethinking that order.

So, there is the proverbial educated (or uneducated) guess. 6 MORE DAYS!!!

WC and Fairborn should be a pretty good pitchers duel between Spain and Marrs. We will see if Fairborn has the offense to support Spain like they should.

Re: To Quiet in the GWOC

Wayne's Nicol Chesley verballed to Malone university and Angie Clark is heading to urbana university. Both very good friends and so wanted to play together but we couldn't get it to work. As there coach for the past seven years these schools are getting very fine students and very competitive athlethe's that know how to win. We couldn't be prouder of these two young ladies as they are the first class to go to the college level from the Roadwarriors summer organzation. Keep up the good work girls.
