My dd wants her summers back, but she doesn't want to walk away from the game that she loves. Does anyone know of a decent league in the SWO that doesn't play 40+ games. She wants play, just not deal with the craziness of a summer ball

'Sounds like a perfect candidate for Rec Ball. There are even some Rec Fall leagues around.

Lebanon has a good rec program, but if I remember correctly you are from the Centerville or Kettering area.

I'm sorry I'm not from Ohio. I was told by a coworker to ask about (rec) leagues in SWO. Is the Dayton area not considered SWO? She is an '00 player, but will possibly play up.

Dayton is SW Ohio. I was saying Lebanon has a good REC program, but I think it is just for Lebanon residents. Kettering might have something similar.

If she has some crazy skills, especially a pitcher or catcher she may be able to get her fix by guesting. I've known several girls do this and some went to some pretty big tourneys without an entire summer committed to softball. This happens when older girls get their college commitments and don't want to play in a dozen tourneys.

I'm from NEO, but she could probably get 30 games in, just from playing rec ball spring/summer and fall. Not sure how old she is, but my community has rec spring/summer ball 12/10/8u, and a neighboring community has fall ball. Point is, they wouldn't need to be the same league, and it would be nice to meet/play with different kids in different seasons.
