Yes, thanks for sharing ... it's good to have the perspective of OHSAA on this. Agree with the logic or not, I think one of the major points is that they are trying to protect the kids with this rule.

A lot of the debate on this is due to the fact that some of our girls have weak high school programs and coaches, but there are also many fine high school coaches out there, some who also coach travel ball and some who don't. I also don't agree that most do it for the money. Roxanne's point that travel ball coaches can have the girls 9 months a year has always seemed to be enough for me. High school ball can be something very special for a lot of our girls, and balancing this with their studies and other school and social activities seems like enough for a few months a year.
