Jon, get well soon brother. I was glad to hear this tournament has been salvaged. Xtreme Heat 10U is still IN.

Jon Allison user name UrbanaFan is battle some very serious illness at this time. Jon should make a full recover within the next years.

But due to his health problem would be unable to be the (TD) for the two Fund Raiser Tournaments for the LunaChix softball program. I'm have offer to be the (TD) for SpringFling2 for Jon and he accepted my offer.

Jon is one of World Series TEAM HOST & (TD) - Assist, and has done a outstanding job for me. So now Jon need my help as his (TD) -Tournament Director.

There are only two tournaments this weekend in all of the State of Ohio. TWO .

Winter polls of "Who is the best 10u team" are just that.. opinions... Right here in Urbana. Centrally located. Let's see who is the best right from the get-go.

My understanding is... Jon is the TD and Ricky is his assistant. And I am there for anything the both of them might ask me to do.. whether lining fields, packing a pitcher's mound, raking the batter's box..whatever.

We came to help a friend.. a good friend and we will be there for him 110% percent. As well as the LunaChix girls.

The night before the Rip-It tourney we had a player with the flu, who became to sick to play. Saturday morning another player with the flu could not play. It was too late to call people and ask them to give up their weekend to come sit in the freezing cold to sub for us (well I tried, it was too late to find any takers). Rather than quit - we decided to go with 2 outfielders. I was very proud of the girls for playing as hard as they could under these circumstances.

We haven't made any claims of being the best. But our players certainly do give everything they've got!

Really looking forward to next year!!!

I just heard it is the grapevine about the eight players...lol I think this event could be a great test for the 10u divison as well as the 12u divsions.

TWO tournaments only listed in the State of Ohio. This could be an early battleground for that test and see some great ball being played by the teams entered.

Last year, the event was two weeks after Easter and 78 plus degrees all weekend (Unusual of course). This year's date is three weekends after Easter so the weather should be on the warmer side of Spring.

All drama aside, this tournament is a heck of a deal. 5 GG / 90+ minute games over a two day period for $350. Looking at the tournament list I don't see a better deal proposed anywhere else. For the kids' sake, I hope the adults don't mess it up.

I agree on the tournament, it really is a great value for the buck! An early spring tournament giving 5 gg, great for the younger kids to evaluate what they need to work on heading into the summer.
I too hope the Adults dont mess this one up!

My thing is he never asked anyone on the board for help with the tournaments. He said he would run these tournaments for our organization...he should have turned to his BOARD for help first! I think it's great that you guys want to help, but him making this decision when the "TD" is part of the board making decisions that is not fair to us. Just my opinion...not sure we were aware that all the money from those tourneys didn't go to us either...that could just be me though...not sure about the others on the board...

This confuses me also why would a board member not know this was happening??
Things are starting to sound fishy.
As of now the West Liberty Force is not planning on attending, as we are not starting until the next weekend. So please remove the us from the list at this time.

Tournament is a go no matter what. If anything all Proceeds will go to the Urbana Youth softball rec league and we can finish the fences on the quads and then start to work on Diamonds 1 and 2 up on the Hill where the 16 played this past Summer at the SummerSlam3 tournament.
