I think at 14U things start to calm down, at least on dd's team. But it does get noisy at the pool.

Leaving the house at 5am to make it in time for warmups before the 8 o'clock game. Whatever team my dd has been on, we ALWAYS get the 8am game. Also not looking forward to 8yo dd snaking all my money for the various concession stands. That kid is a bottomless pit!

My 8 year old is the same way!!! I'm lucky to get out of there with enough money for gas to get home!!

I'm with ya on trying to keep enough money for the gas home. It might get interesting this summer.

:lmao:

Ok, we had a hotel that told us if we didn't stop being so loud, they'd kick us out. We had them booked for another tourney. Let me see, 30 families @ $100 a night, ok we can go somewhere else. They kicked out the wrestling team instead. :lmao:

So I guess the $ amount justifies the behavior?

- Keeping the newly walking toddler off the field
- Keeping "Mom" hydrated from chasing the newly walking toddler.
- Pop-up screens
- Pop-up tents
- Loading the Yukon with all the wife's crazy stuff
- Scheduling parents for Stingray's duty
- Crappy Hotels (I am a self admitted Hotel Snob...hey, I admit it at least)
- AND THOSE FREAKING STINKY FEET!!! "BAILLEY, KEEP YOUR SHOES ON!"

I'm in complete agreement with this one. I too, am a self admitted hotel snob. In the words of Statman Ray from one of his "Things I learned" posts last year, there is nothing Super about a Super 8.

Thankfully I have enough Hilton Honors points to almost cover all of our out of town tournaments.

Just wait, 16u & 18u they become alot more devious and more trouble. Just ask all the Canadians that our girls pelted with water balloons in Toledo a few years back. They were trying to hit our parents, but it just didn't work out that way. :lmao::lmao:

They did go and apologize and the folks from up north were very nice about it.

A $10 per head in vehicle gate fee at one tournament we were in. Unbelievable! Should've known their t-shirts would be over priced as well...;&
AND the hubby making sure they knew he was not happy with that fee. ;)

Missing games because I can't get off work. I'm the only one in my office with school aged children, so God forbid I ask to leave early to catch a game :(

Statman, To me that would be like flushing a septic tank on a 28-foot travel trailer.

Arguing with the youngest about why she can't have or do everything that other team siblings are doing. Or arguing with her because I still select who she can or can't hang out with while she is stuck watching softball which she will tell me repeatedly how much she hates softball and how bored she is. (she is a cheerleader)
