Ohio Hawks will have a 10u team again.. last years teams played in 68 games, winning two tourney's... we have 7 girls returning ... can't wait for next season!!!

In central Ohio I can point you to the Gahanna Lady Lions or Ohio Dragons who will both have 10u teams in 2009.

The tryouts for the 10's will be on August 16 from 9:00-11:00 at Woodridge intermediate school.

Pitchers and catchers being asked to stay over for an hour.

MID OHIO LADY BULLETS will have a 10U team for 2009

Marion Diamonds will have at least one team. I don't know about others, but I had trouble finding 10U tournaments last year. Many tournaments cancelled them due to lack of teams or only had 3-4 teams in them.

It was a somewhat watered down this year as you mentioned. Teams seemed to be scattered. Not certain if the team count was down, too many new tournaments, or what... might just be part of the natural cycles to have some age groups larger than others.

The HOO Nitro team just finished their first tournament. They went 6-0. Hitting and pitching looked really good and they are still looking for 1 or 2 more girls.

10U teams should be the easiest to fill. There are thousands and thousands of 9 & 10 year old girls whose parents think playing ball is like reading-- that eventually all kids will be able to do it. By age 11, reality usually arrives--- well, maybe by age 13.
