I went to bed last night, got up, went to work, came home and my little pig tailed DD is 17 and going to prom. I could have sworn last weekend I took her to see the Power Rangers movie with her wearing her yellow power ranger pajamas.

What the hell happend?

Trust that you have raised them well and release them. If they fly - you did good. If the fall - blame your wife.

Be humble and wait for the moment to launch your attack. If that fails, hide in the closet. Bill and I will be there waiting for you to show you the best way to hide....

Suggestion to those wondering where the time went, take your daughters on a date.

Preferably before she goes to prom^_^!

I feel that from the prone you are less visible and in a better position to launch your attack

One of the Beautiful things about our sport and the parents that post on here, I bet we have spent more time with our kids then alot of parents. Times are different then when most of us were kids, things are so organized now and for all the complaining the old timers do about not seeing kids on the street playing ball, those kids are now with their parents going to hitting lessons, practice, the batting cages, down to the field to shag fly balls or ground balls or we are sitting on a bucket for them.

I for sure am thankful for all that the sport of softball has done.

Triplethreat your post was a nice reminder, to be thankful for what we are able to do with our DD's.

Listen, no matter what you do, it goes by too fast. My cute little girl is now 29, and helping me coach our last little girl. I thank God everyday, for giving my wife and I another chance to share the adventure of growing up with another beautiful miracle of life. And I know full well that these next few years are going to go by so fast, that it seemed like they never existed. But at least we have a second chance, and then I'm hoping for grandkids to watch the adventure begin again.

It is amazing how quickly time sails by.....I remember wishing she were old enough to just play ball, then being so excited when she could play t-ball, and wishing she were old enough to play rec, then travel, and then wishing she were in high school.....now she's there... a beautiful young woman and I'm wishing she were little again....go figure! I'm savoring every momment. Advice for those with the younger DDs....remember not to wish their lives away...it will go quicker than you can ever imagine. :)
